  1. Personally, I'm worried about battle mode.
Because the ONE major thing snap has over other card games is that games don't drag on for a long time. Less investment in a single game and thus less frustration from losses.
If the battle mode will become the most popular mode and there are maybe even special rewards, the game might become just another CCG where you slog through a game for 15-30 minutes (if only 1 or 2 health is lost each "sub-game", it's going to take a while).

  2. I don’t know if battle mode sounds fun at all it sounds so drawn out and I enjoy that I can play a game of Snap in a few minutes trying to kill some time. Battle mode sounds like a lot more of a commitment

  3. 3 questions:
    – will there be compensation of tokens for people who are already advanced in level track?
    – will I be able to get pool 3 card with token when I havent finnished pool 2 yet?
    – if I lock the card to get from the token can I still get it from level track before I use a token for it, and then for example it will disappear from shop as I got it normally through progression?

  4. I really don't understand the need for a "clear winner" the game is really good as it is you got outplayed you retreat still a loss still the winner gets the spoils. Don't get the " oh I beat you you lose loser" that battle mode looks to bring.

  5. I don't think Retreat is a win at all. It's meant to mitigate a loss. Like, I made a bad play and rather than lose 4 blocks lose 1 or 2. I mean sure we all have done it but, it should indicate that we lost.

  6. Battle mode should not have a retreat option . If you lose two games in a row the max you can lose without snapping is 8 health, which still keeps you alive for a third game. If you lose a third game in a row, you didn’t deserve to play a fourth game anyways

  7. A random idea is to have something like weekly tournaments, where each player gets 1 Tournament Cube, and tries to collect TC's from other players.. kinda like starchips in Yu-Gi-Oh except that you can raise the stakes mid-duel. So if you lose all your TC's – you're out of that weekly tournament… And then, the top X players with most of these TC's get to battle it out in the finals.

  8. I also really want them to add a card showcase feature because i really like my jessica jones card but i dont use jt often. I wanna show off my skin for it and i think a showcase is the best way to do it.

  9. Confused on why people debate on winning or losing. Retreating might be the correct play, but it is still losing is it not? I mean if you fold, you lose in poker. Most, I will say most cause I havent played or seen them all, strategic forfeit is still a loss.

  10. I absolutely cannot wait for the tokens and battle mode. I have friends I wanna smack around LOL and unlocking cards is nice. I already have most of the cards I want in pool 2, but hobgoblin would be nice.

  11. As someone who enjoyed Magic Arena, no mention of any spectate mode doesn't hurt the tournament scene terribly, but it definitely hurts it. Watching MTGA tournaments is annoying because you can't know the quality of any given game, because it's all streamed over Discord and not all people have A. Good enough quality internet and B. A good enough quality computer to make every game look good.

  12. The battle mode is soooo stupid, the match will be soooo long. Imagine if one player retreat 9 times? That's 2-3 minutes times 9 only from the retreating. It's already 18-27 minutes. And if both player employs the same strategy to make sure they have the cards they need then it easily becomes an hour just for a single battle. Utterly idiotic imho. They should limit the number of retreat you can do. At max 2 times, if you retreat a 3rd time you automatically lose.

  13. I love those collector tokens. I just reached pool 3, and there are so many pool 3 cards Iwant to use but don't have them… so this would be great. But that battle mode idk, games are already pretty long, especially if your gonna get like 3/4 in 1 match, also it doesn't seem that fun because after the first game you exactly know what their tactic is and what they will play

  14. I was actually hoping that we could eventually directly challenge friends.
I noticed recently that every player gets a specific ID already, so I guess it was only a matter of time before they added the friend function.
I can't wait to have my IRL friends try the game out.

  15. They did not hesitated or waited long to add the friends option, maybe they wanted to settle ground on global before implementing such a big feature but a welcome one of course…

  16. Battle Mode is just a return to Hearthstone. The whole genius of Snap was quick, fast games. You can forgive insane locations or wild RNG because the game is done in a few minutes.

  17. I literally never had an issue with the concept of winner and loser to the point that I needed a new drawn out mode to play just so that I can clearly say I've beaten my opponent. I don't know if you're grasping at straws or really have a bad case of "goblin brain likes to win"

  18. I think the current way of games with no clear winner is what makes Marvel Snap special. It immediately makes the game faster, less toxic and less frustrating. With the battle mode wouldn't it go back to being like every other online card game??
