  1. As you can see making these videos is a huge undertaking, and we hope that this video has shown how the TimeGhost Army is the foundation of everything we do here. We're setting a fundraising goal of $15,000 in new and increased Patreon pledges, and over the next week will be keeping you updated as to our progress toward that goal. All of this would not have been possible without you, so join the effort on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/join/timeghosthistory

  2. Why others should pledge their money to the TimeGhost Army? Easy: Because it is the best damn channel on Youtube! Period!!

PS: Raised my pledge… who can resist Indy?!? 🤣

  3. I have just signed up for 6$ a month, I truly wish i could pledge more money for the team considering the absolutely wonderful job you are doing. This channel has been teaching me history for 4 years now and I am so grateful they are putting out this content for free because the quality and effort that goes into this is truly impressive. I hope that enough people can see the value of this channel and decide to support it financially because it is definitely worth it!

  4. You guys have made so many great videos that make me feel like I’m reliving the past when watching. I’ve been watching your channel for at least a couple years now, but I haven’t donated. You’ll have my support now. I’m going to Europe for the first time to visit Normandy this summer and I cannot wait for your D-Day special project. All the best to you my friends! God bless!

  5. I love the content! Been following you since World War War in 2016! Nothing on YouTube, nothing… is more professional or objectively presented about history on YouTube than this TimeGhost videos! I will give shout out to History Hit – they are good too! Thanks for all you do! And please let me know how I can donate!

  6. I am currently in the TG ARMY 1943/44 DIVISION tier and would upgrade in an instant – if Patreon would allow me to change from yearly payment to monthly – obviously this is not possible. Aside from that there are a lot of good reasons to be part of the Time Ghost Army:
    1) a bunch of wonderful and great hosts to the shows, Indy and Spartacus on the main videos but also Astrid and Anna on the more irregular series.
    2) very well researched content, made visually very attractive by the great maps we see every week and all the historic footage that is provided
    3) the whole view of this time, not only the battles and the crimes against humanity, but also what was happening on the homefront, the ties and spies, economic background etc. All this leads to a better and deeper understanding of the war.
    4) War against humanity is in my opinion so far the best documentary of the war crimes committed by all sides, but especially the Nazis. There could be more coverage of the war crimes of the Japanese, but this might come, I am not so much into this part of WWII history. But the Nazi crimes – very detailed and Sparty manages to keep it human, give the victims a voice and often give them names. So they will not be forgotten.
    5) finally a detailed picture of the war. I will have to find the assignments of my granddad, who had been in the Wehrmacht in WWII, so I can get an idea what his life in the war was, due to the weekly episodes. He told quite a few stories of the war, and I know that he was mostly in the baltic region – but now I can get a fuller picture.
So, thank you Astrid, Indy, Sparty and the whole team, this is such an important series, that should be supported by everyone interested in history. And I do hope, that some teachers in schools will pick up on that series to teach their students about WWII – even if they only pick certain episodes, as they cannot show the whole thing due to time constraints in school.

  7. I have been watching you since 2016 (and binge-watched everything that was done before that) and I hear your call, "captain, my captain" – so I just have joined! This is the best history lesson I have seen in my life and I'm grateful for all the work you have done. While I came for Indy's narrative of the war, lately I really appreciate Sparty's WAH. Watching this should be mandatory – it would make all of us better for the future.

  8. Thank you very much for the video and the transparency. I've been following your channel for quite some time now and never really thought about supporting you. But for the difficult time we are in and the accomplishments you achieved it is now my turn to assist the marvelous work you put every day. Thank you very much and good luck.

  9. I've been watching y'all's work every week since 1916/2016 in The Great War and firmly believe this is the best channel for this type of content online. The research is thorough and presented in a way that is detailed but not overwhelming, simultaneously illustrating the massive scale and scope of the conflicts while also emphasizing the personal, human stories and tragedies. I have never, not for one second, thought that a single penny was being spent frivolously or that any of the calls for support were an attempt to "cash in". Everyone involved with this endeavor is honestly and earnestly passionate about their work and should be incredibly proud of everything they have created so far. I am proud to be a member of the TimeGhost Army and know that my modest contribution helps make this possible.

  10. I’ve been with Indy at least the better part of a decade now, and being a fellow houstonian as well go Astros, I started supporting the TG team a bit ago, can’t remember when. But for the memorial, I was wondering my grand dad served in Korea and flew 55 missions can I do a memorial for that? I know it’s the wrong war.

  11. Signed up for the $9/mo tier. If you're considering it, that comes out to about a dollar per episode between Indy's and Sparty's shows alone. I'll never exhort someone to sign up if they can't afford it, but if you can… Well, there are still some bright spots on YouTube. When you find them, help them shine bright.

  12. I am a historian by education, but work in another field. Partially due to scarcity of jobs, also due to IT jobs being more lucrative. I've kept my support going, even when I lost my job during Covid, because the work that Time Ghost is doing is important, and I want to help.

  13. I decided to join the 1943/44 Division as I want this series to be completed as the content is one of the most detailed, comprehensive and accessible – no I'll amend that statement, THE most detailed, comprehensive and accessible series about this global conflict. I'd be happy to stretch further, any likelihood of a 'TG Major' tier @50 USD per month, not looking for any particular additional benefits.

  14. Your video was compelling, and answered a number of my questions. However, I give a definite C- to the Patreon people for not making it easy to get into my current subscription level and upgrade with a couple of button clicks. I probably would have given more than I did today with that simple convenience. Nonetheless, if you get as much out of this series as I am, and if it's helping you understand maybe your parents' or grandparents' generation better, give them some more money.

  15. Don't even remember how I came by the channel but I'm really glad that I did. Even with Patreon early option I prefer to keep myself to weekend brunch viewing. I wish I learnt about your projects much sooner and feel like I get much more learning and value than mindless entertainment alternatives.
