When the Ukraine war began, drones were a rarity that few soldiers thought or worried about – now they are everywhere and troops have to be constantly on their guard against them, or suffer deadly consequences. Here, War on Tape explains how grenade-dropping drones work, what they’re used for, and how they’re changing warfare forever. We also speak to a frontline reporter who has experienced first-hand what it’s like to be hunted by these murderous machines.

russia does it first then ukraine calls them stupid then next copy's them
Thanks for that.
Reporting on cutting edge technology whilst claiming you recorded them on a VHS cassette 😂
Man, that was really interesting!
In the future, war is fought fought by flying killer robots. And the reason you know we're in the future: it doesn't seem surprising or even noticeable.

We need these for speed cameras here
Yet more old news..
Ukrainians are NOT pioneers. The first drop bombs by commercial drone were used by ISIS in Syria & Iraq. Know your history. There used to be hundreds of videos of it on YouTube, but the media took it all down. They have also been used since 2021 in Myanmar. Bad journalism.
Why did you use a VHS tape?
The fact that the Russian like to leave the hatches open on their tanks really helps.
On telegram, I see so so so many videos how these drones with those small bombs are doing so much damage to Russians. It's mind blowing what these drones are doing.
The problem is that the Ukrainians were not being prepared for the attack of Russians, but for the barbecue on May 9, "And the population rejoiced and applauded the invitation to the barbecue, not knowing that they and their children would be the meat for the barbecue.",,,
The Daily Mail produces some seriously good mini documentaries,
10,000 is farfetched. THere is not even 10,000 personal in one battlefied
6:37
4:53 😂.
Let's not forget that the Russians are doing the same thing as well.
Back in 2022, a video came out showing a Chinese made Skyeye 6000 or Skyeye 5000 being used as a kamakazi drone to attack an oil refinery in Russia and it was used by the Ukrainians as a recon drone too. These is a drone sold on Chinese commerce websites. Fast forward a few months later, the russians started to do the same thing against the Ukrainians.
If the entry of NoKor regular army (now 12,000) and undetermined number of Red Chinese troops is not already an escalation then what it is? The USA and the West should not turn a blind eye on this horrible situation. They should know that after Ukraine, RazzzPutin with enough confidence, will retake Alaska which the Ruzzians claimed belongs to them and they will force the integration of former European soviet satellite states such as Poland, Estonia, East Germany, etc…
We alll know ukraine is looosing 😂😂😂😂😂😂 so why will u keep pomping this garbage ????😂😂😂😂😂 is this what the billons sent by nato gets them?????
No, drones are not divided into those "two categories" (I know what I'm talking about)
In fact it was not an American mk1 grenade, it was a soviet F1 grenade.
After this – I don't see any point in watching it any further, you spent a lot of money on your 3d graphics and screwed it up with low quality journalism
DJI
No explanation of how FPV kamikaze drones are assembled and operated despite them being mentioned several times in the second half of the report and them appearing to be quite ubiquitous on the battlefield?
Good reporting. Thank you. Strong Ukraine. Strong NATO. Strong Poland.
Surely someone prominent in FPV has something to say about all of this…. those bros promoting the hobby for likes and views are suspiciously quiet…
wait… what about that choppergirl …
You guys should do a small mini doc with the 414th Madyar's UAV and Drone strike company also the 47th Drone unit is a great choice.
Very interesting report, thanks, stay safe. 🇺🇦 Slava Ukraine
Thanks Jake 🇺🇦

2:32 thats an F-1 bruh
9:12 for more at rockets? u mean artillery shells
I don't think the ukrainians are using mark 1 american hand grenades, those are F-1 russian hand grenades.
Actually every single soldier could independently operate a grenade dropping drone, quite simple, just need to train the operator.
Isis where the first that use litte drones and bombs.
Just a random comment with a few words to promote the video and Slava Ukraine! ('-')7
"The type of drone used to film weddings"……………Now, they've been re-purposed to film BBQ's and funerals."
Hey…what's a "tape"? (that thin, little box?)
Ukraine 🇺🇦 has been the Pioneer in low cost drones’ warfare…
Chinese drone manufacturers are laughing all the way to the bank. They're profiting off both sides.
At 2:32, that's a Soviet F1 grenade, not American.
Could they not put an Arduino/raspberry pi to run a CCIP? Would probably need a laser range finder, but would increase accuracy ten fold
(Continuously Calculated Impact Point)
Why not anonymise everyone? It would have to be safer.
With North Korea involved now, I imagine South Korea will be chomping at the bit to get more advanced drones to Ukraine. They're already talking about making stealth FPV drones with hydrogen fuel cells that run silently.
Fantastic video!
@ 2:31 that is not a MK1 American grenade.
Interesting video, but the commentary is silly.
I wonder why they do not mount the grenades vertical (pointing downward) so the drop can be more accurate?
DIY homemade drone IEDs??? When is youtube going to ban this type of content? lol Soon…14 year old teens will be building these drones at home and terrorizing their neighbors.
