It's Henry's story 🙄
Oooh this is Henry’s story!
So THIS is the story that awdry used to recrearte the story in henrys book.
Soon they could see the boys, and they all had stones.
"Are you ready, Henry?" said his driver. "Sneeze hard when I tell you."
"Now!" he said.
"A-Choo-Shoo!"
"Well done, Henry!" Laughed his driver.
I find it amazing that this real-life event was the blueprint for that Thomas the Tank Engine story, "Henry's Sneeze", and then “Sneezes and Whistles” in the TV show.
I had figured it to be a true story, Awdry didn't like physics defying or rule breaking in his stories. If he hated Henry stopping in a forest he would never "Sneeze" in his stories. Sadly this story also had Awdry say a bad term in the first editions of Henry The Green Engine. Due to a unfortunate nickname my hometown has (Anna think what each letter could men with that second N being a stupid slur) I can't even imagine how he could justify it, he claimed he meant no offence but that word is never innocent nope. Ah one time isn't going to tarnish my opinion of Sodor nor will I believe he never regreted it so nice to hear about the true story.
I did something very similar when I was 5 but to a diesel locomotive and the next time I tried to do it they used all the horns on the train.
I literally crapped my pants
This sounds like it would make a great Thomas the Tank engine episode.
Shut regulator, or opened it? with the regulator shut there's bugger all draft out of the locos chimney, let alone enough to such ash, soot, or small coal out the chimney. If it was coasting with regulator shut and safely opened it would eject any loose particles in the smoke box plus any small bits of coal on top of the fire, out of the chimney.
So in the Sodor universe, shoveling the contents into Henry would either be opening his smokebox door (aka his face) and shoveling it in or feeding it to him through his mouth like a baby.
You know, this kinda sounds familiar but I can't really put my finger on it. Something to do with a big green engine and a sneeze or something.
Fun fact the original story had the n word
whistles and sneezes
RWS anyone?
Henrys sneeze cough cough
I think this is The last story of Henry The Green Engine
Love how you used Henry's theme. Nice to hear the true story behind Whistles and Sneezes.
henrys sneeze
HELL YEAHH
A soon the music startet i knew what the story was on about.
I like Henry's theme in the background. Nice homage to the RWS
don't mess with my toot-toot bro
"NOW!" He said.
"AAAAACHOOO!!!!!"
Wheeeeeew!
I love the use of Henry’s theme here! 😁
Rolling coal on people has its roots in steam locomotives.
Heh. You used Henry's theme for the video. Cheeky devil
Henry on his way to shoot a Load of coal dust at some Stone throwing kids:
"There are regular fools and worthless fools, such as these who think that dropping heavy objects from bridges at cars driving beneath is a good idea" – Wendy Northcutt, paraphrased
Could definitely do with a bit more slapping around of young scum today
The coal dust story was actually shown in Thomas and Friends, where it was Henry who was being pelted with stones and he technically sneezed at the kids at his driver's signal.
I assume this was the inspiration for Henry’s sneeze.
How did I know that you would use Henry’s theme for this episode? 😁
The first bridge story was actually adapted in Thomas and friends
It isn’t wrong but we just don’t do it
There one thing, I love about Steam Engines, they have very unique personalities of their own, especially being very protective towards their passengers who wants to enjoy their trip without any trouble on the rails.
