Here are the great example of how this kind of damage can be repaired, and how I do it frequently. It`s a pretty common case, and if there was no amateur attempts of reparation it can be easily glued back and guitar will live long and happy live ( if it dont break it again by your own fault ofc 🙂 ). Despite popular belief after proper gluing barely nothing change withing the guitar (in case when parts fits perfectly with no missing chips). And in addition to all of that – many of guitar manufacturers that makes acoustic guitars and necks with angled headstock dont use one big chunk of wood for neck. Almost all of them are already glued from several pieces of wood in the name of stability and cheaper production process.
Beside neck repair here I show one of examples of how crack can be masked. There is a lot of ways to do it, starting from not doing with finish anything at all and finishing with full refinish of damaged part when it`s really worth it.
“Gluing the truss rod” and “Truss rod non-adjustable now” – first of all you can’t do a metal+wood bond with Titebond, bc it’s dont fit for this purpose. Beside that – truss rod here is in polyethylene film, and it dont really gluable at all. Second – the nut located on the other side, and look first p, in case of any further questions about gluing the truss rod.

Будь здорова!)
Nice treatment of a good clean break. Great attention to the small details. My last one of these had been "repaired" twice before I got it with urethane. Ugh – 2 splines and a shim needed.
Also, I love the feeler gauge scraper! That is a really refined use of tools!
Question: Did you offer the customer a stain match instead of paint, and he chose paint for cost? I have never offered paint, but it looks a lot faster and easier. Stain match is such a fussy business.
I like your style. Good stuff!
Great work, as always, Tanya. Looks like a really solid repair. Tell me…did you consider using splines, for added strength, or did you decide it was strong enough? ❤
Дуже гарна робота! А можете показати будь ласка, що робити коли гриф відклеївся від корпуса через високий натяг струн.👉👈
Muy buen trabajo amiga!!!.
Saludos desde España!!…
Приємно спостерігати за акуратною роботою🥰
Excellent work and the result is beautiful!
Amazing!! When I saw that broken off headstock, I thought you were going to put a whole new neck on. I would never ha e thought that was fixable!! What is the fluid in the little pipette you use to fill cracks and chips, also what is that you spray on after it?? Amazing work!! Beautiful hands ❤🫡🤘
Would have loved to see a re-fret also. Other than that well done!
I like it Tanya. Great. I would have done the repairs the same way with what I have at home if it isn't an expensive guitar. Someone loved that guitar and played the shit out of it.
Curious, any reason for not using splines to reinforce the glue joint and strengthen the neck? Beautiful work, just wondering.
Was hoping for at least a strum or two. 😉

I think it looked great just after being glued and sanded. Shows it’s history and how well it was glued. Very nice work👍🏼
Now you see it-now you don’t…excellent work 👍
Nice job.
I have an additional question: when do I need additional neck reinforcement with splines (like here https://youtu.be/CaL2XvcdtIQ?t=5m20s), when I don't?
the gluing job was actually nice, but the painting was totally different from the original finish.
Belo trabalho
Amazing work, I can only wish to be as talented as you!
Had me up to the final paint… Doesn't match and sprayed right over the decal/silkscreen. Might have been better to stain the crack and lacquered. Cracks still visible but solid brown really stands out.
Good job🤘
That's a little more than damaged
Every episode of this fine young lady is very satisfying. 👌
Nice job but I didn’t see you wax off the truss rod, does it still function with all that titebond on it?
You have got some proper skills, making that an invisible repair and looking like new. Its always a pleasure to watch someone who knows their craft, cracking work as ever lass.

It's a real joy to watch a guitar being repaired and done well. Great video
Love your work. You became one of my favourite channel to watch on YouTube.
Perfect repair Tanya. Too often you see people putting in extra splines, when this is really not necessary when you have clean break with lots of glue surface. A big thumbs up!
Hi Tanya, I had that happen to my Yamaha FG 422-TBS which is brown , and they don't make it any more . It's been banged around a lot , campfires, hot vans, etc. The bridge came off, so I reglued that , I made my own jig out of a windshield repair thing. (Why are those Stew Mac long reach C-clamps so expensive?) Then, I busted the head off , I reglued that with Titebond, and just used a C-clamp and a piece of wood on the fret section. I got away with it . I really like that surge- tube wrap you did, I use inner tubes a lot on my bike racks , the tension! If it breaks off again, I'll do that tube thing lol. Hey, How do you get rid of cloudy glaze on the clearcoat? Do you have to totally sand it all off? I think that happened from the insane campfires , or maybe I used the wrong cleaner. Not really critical, because this a battle guitar, but Yamahas are tough ass bitches . I'm on my third one. (an FG- 830) Not the most amazing action , but damn, they sound good and are built well. Ibanez's are good guitars too and are worth saving. Nice work! Thanks for posting that!
I love your videos, they’re really well put together. One question – you’re not worried about the truss rod being glued to the wood? Or is that better?
Slava Ukraine! Hope everything is ok for you over there
Взяла и убила текстуру дерева под лаком, а заодно и маркировку, тупо залив краской. Вам только маникюром заниматься, гораздо лучше получается. Топорнее работы не видел.
