How to make Stunning Folding Pocket Knife – with a Master Smith

Making this folding pocket knife was such an awesome experience – thanks to Master Smith Shawn McIntyre. He invited me and a couple of other guys down to his workshop in Melbourne, for the week to make these stunning little knives. I learned so much and can’t thank Shawn enough for such a wonderful time.

  2. A great video and very informative.
I suspect that the bottle labelled "urine" contains a solution of ammonia diluted with demineralized water, to use when wet sanding steels that are not stainless; I've read that some people do this as weak ammonia solution is a rust inhibitor.

  3. I've rewatched this several times now. This is my favorite design of knife. Lost mine a few years ago and haven't found a replacement for it yet. Would absolutely love to see you make a new one in your shop as I feel compelled to make my own some day

  4. Ca for fixing is in no way a legitimate way to fix… epoxy is a minimum requirement… using ca means that knife is susceptible to heat and cold.. couldn’t believe my ears when you said that… and yes I’m a knife maker
