Making clay is not that hard. Not too long ago it was part of most potters jobs to dig and process all the clay they used. Yet today it is almost a lost art. In this video I show you 3 methods for making clay at home, simply and easily.

I live in Maine, so all rivers have clay, all dirt has clay, hell, even the trees have traces of the stuff half the time. Want clay? Go outside, go to a nearby river (theres at least twenty nearby) find river clay, bring river clay home, do some work, bam. C L A Y
……What the hell even is dirt?
yay i found clay in my yard now i know how to clean and dry it to use thank u
Bro rlly said 🤓 Good video btw 👍

I think this guy really likes clay
I don’t need to buy or make it cos like less than one shovel scoop down you hit solid f$cking clay on our property. Putting posts and other stuff in the ground is an absolute pain.
Não se pq vim parar nesse vídeo, mas achei interessante o método que você utilizou para confeccionar as argilas :))
Not sure this is the case in all places..But here in the uk if you simply dig down 2-3 feet You can simply take clay out of the ground
Try building a pond or a dyke with dirt, you'll figure the difference out fast.
It's not dirt, it's precious soil 😉
0:00 the uHoF lol
I knew there was clay near my house, but it sucks that only now I find out that the dirt that used to be exposed could be made into clay. All the recent houses built will make it harder to find that dirt.
I always play with #2
Seeing as the size of clay particles is less than .00016", wouldn't grains of sand be entirely too large to make a good mixture?
Never thought a guy telling me to go collect dirt outside would be such a great time
Can you show us what you made with that
My yard is FULL of clay, I have a bucket soaking, been soaking for too long, kinda scared to try and finish processing it. I did it the first time as a kid with clay I scavenged from a beach near me
"You don't have to go to a store and buy clay in a bag. Take the natural route." Finds dirt and immediately puts it in a bag instead of a reusable container.
Me at my wife: "Yeah… You can just buy the clay"

Thank you so much ! I managed two batches of clay already with dirt from my garden with little effort ! Your video changed how I see the ground/soil <3

You’re a legend. This video made me happy for some strange reason. I will enjoy watching your other content.
Was the quality of the clay good? When you fired projects made with these clays, how did the items turn out?
Leonardo DiCaprio in 15 ish years

Exactly, it's good to adventure. I like your style.
Well, I make sculptures that I'm considering selling and I live in Arizona. This is a goldmine for me. Maybe I should reconsider my day job lol
