It appears that there are three layers of fabric once the box pleat is completed. If I want a skirt with a 30" waist, then I'm calculating I need 90" of fabric before pleating. This 90" of course would not include seam allowances, but just the length of fabric needed for the pleats. Am I calculating correctly?
You have a true gift for teaching. That was clear and consise and as easy to follow/understand as any tutorial I’ve watched or read through. Thank you for taking the time to share your skill and knowledge, it was exactly what I needed to see to get the job done.
What an amazing tutorial! I have never tried this, and need to finish a project today. Now I can conceptualize the process and get it done! Thanks for the video!

So for smaller box pleats- say 1/2", you would just measure 1/2" increments instead of the 2" increments, correct?
