  2. Hey Austin, why do you have the registered recipes on the menu? Is it because you finished the game?

    You have registered 228/228

I don’t see them in my recipe menu yet ( haven’t finished the game)

    Great vid btw!!

  3. My favorite recipes are the risottos! My top two are “rice, a truffle, butter, salt,a golden apple” and “rice, butter, cheese, salt, hearty bass”. And my favorite place to farm for materials is the top of lightcast island!

  4. I’m finally far enough in the game to allow myself to watch vids like these. Reminds me of botw days! I used to watch all your vids back in the day and I’m 100% binging your totk vids

  5. A good place to get recipes is Lurelin village as the chef tends to make the more difficult recipes like seafood Paella. Also brightbloom seeds count as fruit. They only heal 1/4 heart when cooked but are easy to gather in large amounts.

  6. While riding on any water body use the goron sage ability to fire him as a canon and watch him sink into water , followed by roasted fish floating up on water bodies. I once got 15 of them roasted Porgy

  7. I was trying to do every combination for every dish for completion and was thoroughly disappointed that if you cook a roasted porgy (for example from a mighty) then it will delete the previous roasted porgy if it was a different base ingredient, (like an armoured porgy).
I was also really surprised that cooking only cheese gives dubious food.

  8. I forget how long I've been subscribed to AJP's channel, but If i were Nintendo, i would sign AustinJohnPlays as an Official Nintendo Certified Online Game Guide.
His Nintendo content, no matter which title game he goes through, is arguably the best in the biz. Clear, concise, always helpful and never anything less than thoroughly entertaining.
Keep up the great work, buddy!

  9. Just an FYI: If it has "Copious" in the name, it isn't just 4 of a type, it's 4 different of that type.
For Example: A Copious Mushroom Skewer cannot be made with 4 hylian shrooms, that'd just make a regular mushroom skewer. You need 4 different mushrooms to make a copious skewer.

  10. ok, one thing I've never understood about cooking in breath of the wild/TotK: what's the point of all the different recipes? I'm not talking about any that have status effects, but the tons of recipes that just give hearts. Like why go to the trouble of making something with eggs and milk in it when you can heal just as efficiently with only meat or only fruit?

Although yeah, I guess status effect food, too? Elixirs are just the thing you need and a monster part, so why get complicated with different ingredients (I'm specifically talking about when you don't actually need the hearts and only need the status effect. If you need health + status, I can see where it makes more sense)?
