How To Get Living Frigates In No Man’s Sky Endurance Freighter Update

This is how to get living frigates in No Man’s Sky! The Endurance update added a ton of awesome new features for freighters and also gave us the ability to recruit living frigates. It takes a bit of luck, but these are some really awesome frigates!

  1. Hi, I really appreciate your videos, they helped me a lot in times of difficulty and made the game enjoyable and not boring! I wanted to ask you if you could make a clip or video explaining how to feed organic frigates with different foods

  2. no…choose your own adventure has different actions for each previous choice. this just asks the same questions to determine the ships stats. also…your title is misleading. you just showed how YOU got a single living frigate. O.o

  3. After some experimentation, I found a 100% method for locating space whale frigates. You must have the Dream Ariel and an Anomaly Detector in your ship inventory; ensure you have plenty of fuel to refill your pulse drive on the fly and cash to pay the whale. The Detector is consumed in this process, but you find one frigate per detector 100% of the time. Start pulsing towards absolutely nothing so you can go a long way searching. Activate your Anomaly Detector, and it will begin searching, then sit on your hands and watch. The Detector will find something, and you will have 20 seconds to exit the pulse and look at it. If the indicator says something like Deep Space Object DO NOT Exit pulse. After 20 seconds, the search resets, and within 5 seconds, the detector will pick up another object. Keep resisting the urge to stop and look until the detector shows either MegaFauna Detected or Whalesong or something like that, then you stop pulsing and inspect the living frigate. Seriously the most difficult part is collecting Anomaly Detectors. I suppose you might search without one, but the detector picks up an object every 25 seconds, whereas just pulsing, you might go a LONG time without detection. In testing, the longest it took was 14 detections, and the shortest was 3 detections before I spotted a space whale.

  4. I got my first living frigate, but now when I am finding them, I am not receiving this "Incoming Message" and as a result I am not able to claim anymore living frigates. Anyone know how to fix this?

  5. Thank God I made a base that is a living glass farm among many other things, it's built around a Portal as well in the Calypso Galaxy if any travelers pass through grab them resources and help yourself to my outpost

  6. I stop playing endurance because I burnt my self out in the week before. Then I just find out that the freighter base update is a part of it, which I’ve been waiting for, I’d say for about 3 years now…

  7. This is so fucking annoying, why go through ALLLLLL this shit just for the living ship to be no better than a random ass crashed ship you find on a planet?

  8. I'm trying a trick with the anomaly detector: Instead of jumping out of warp when something is detected, I keep going until that message pops up. So far it hasn't happened yet. I'm wondering if this has worked for anyone else?

  9. Stopped playing after completing Expedition 7 and came back after a few months. Doesn't this update mean that Expedition 7 was a complete waste of time? Sure it's cool that you can get whole fleets of these things now, but the entire point of the expedition was so you could unlock the organic frigate as a special limited addition to your fleet that you could only get by going through such an unforgiving challenge. But it just seems like it was a complete waste of time and effort now that pretty much anyone can go a grab one for themselves.

  10. That… doesn’t really tell me how to get a living frigate :/ that just makes it seem as tho I have to just keep sending my frigates on missions till they get an aerial or whatever. So what I got from this is I just have a chance to get one of these things.

And I’ve been playing every day, sending my frigates on missions and have yet to see one of these aerials. So if I can only get these by chance then I doubt I’ll get one any time soon

  11. In order to find more living frigates, you’ll need to get the anomaly detector, from shooting asteroids, then activate it. Go into hyperdrive then keep scanning until you come across whale song detected, then you’ll find a living frigate.
