Oh! So you can get a bootleg of a type that the creature already is. I was hoping for that, since the palettes do that neat reversal when you coat a monster in a type it originally was. Also simplifies getting stuff like fire type gearyu.
I've been playing the demo (don't get paid 'til the 3rd) and it's been interesting so far.

Also fun fact you don't need to get the bullet monster before you access the other side of the town.
How to do it – go to the upper level with the elevator. Go up the stairs to the right and stand on the far left house railing. Jump and glide to get on top of the ranger building. Continue to make your way to the left until the last building before the crossing. When you jump move downwards slightly so as to not go into the building directly opposite.
Hope it helps I did this within the first 30 min of playing.
You can also get there by unlocking the swimming ability and swimming there by island hopping. As there are stairs and a landing on that side you can get up. That's how I got there, before I had the dash ability.

i got there at the start just by using a box and jumping on thebuilding with a slanted roof and gliding over. i have done so much with a box over my head idk what areas ive unlocked that i shouldnt have yet XD. so far 2 bootlegs 🙂 1 glitter and 1 lightening. lmk what u guys got so far

I caught a bootleg Bulletino 😂 it literally hurtled into me from offscreen. Then I got a air type pondwalker.
Also Barkley’s cassette appears to always be an ice type pombom from what I’ve gathered
Honestly, not being that familiar with the monsters yet the shiny do not feel that valuable, yet. I am yet to discover all the monsters in the game, then I will most likely start a shiny hunt.
The bootleg I got is currently my favourite monster funnily enough. It's a Plant type Pyromeleon (which is funny since it's not a fire type at all anymore) and it's so good at putting ailments on enemies and doing sick damage. I fuse it with my Gumball and I basically have a super tanky Ferroseed it's funny, Pokémon in Cassette Beasts 😀
