This video show how to diagnose. one of the common failure points with level wind reels. I use a Penn GT1 reel to show the basic components of the assembly and why they can fail. The process applies to most level wind reels including bait casters and freshwater reels in addition to the Saltwater ones.
I have been servicing #fishing #reels for over 25 years and am sharing my experiences here. If you enjoy the video, please like it and subscribe to see more on fishing #reel repair and service

Parts. Where do you get parts? I have a bunch of old Penns, and Lew’s BB1n from late 70’s (Shimano) I need a level wind pawl for.
I've been toying with the idea of using a 3D printer to make plastic parts. The GTi's are my favorite level winds, I have 10's 20's and 30's
Merry Christmas Dennis. Thanks for the videos
