This week I show you how I built this custom floating bed and headboard. This is one my favorite DIY projects and I am so amazed by the end result. I added LEDs to make the floating effect even cooler! The bedroom makeover is really coming together, and we only have a few more projects left before the room is complete!

  2. For the headboard I found the standard Ghost Wood boards sold at Home Depot in-store. They’re like $13-21 a Board depending on size. Worth it. I also used pocket holes to hold everything together, including the 2×4 top edging. Other than that, I followed your plans and it turned out great. Made my wife happy. Those lights work great too. Bought a second set for beneath our kitchen cabinets. Total project cost was right around $345 in supplies. Free labor…me.
