How to Beat the Alpine Villages Scenario in Cities Skylines (Pt. 2) | Sparkly Unicorn Rainbow Park
I have NEVER placed the Sparkly Unicorn Rainbow Park asset in any of my cities because I have never beat all of the Natural Disasters DLC scenarios – but I want to change that! We’re going to work our way through each of the scenarios in an effort to get this asset unlocked! We’ll start with Alpine Villages and work our way through each of the scenarios.
With this particular scenario, the recording time ran a bit long, so I’ve divided the video into two halves. This is the second half of the challenge. Please check out part one first by clicking here – https://youtu.be/6riMCZB1M8k !

Flood town 😁
Yes please ! Continue Phil. That was a great content to enjoy!
The Bike Lobby does NOT approve of this build! Grumble. 😕
This was a great watch, hope you do more of these.
Couple things I didn't understand why you did them. Firstly, getting rid of the buses when that was a goal. Every little bit helps and you eventually put them back as a way to get riders to the trains.
Secondly, why keep upgrading the roads? Don't you want them to be unattractive? Slow roads would drive transit use would it not?
Need more tourists! More attractions!
More Water Windmills!
Listening to your voice during the chaos was calming.
Great job bro!
Had the game for 5 years and never even looked at the scenarios, maybe I will thanks cpp.
Side note did you use the free public transportation policy to bump your numbers?

CPP: Laughs
That tree being sad, stuck in the river:
I am currently om my own quest to unlock this building. I am currently working on my tornadoland sitting at around 80k citizens. I bave to admit that most scenarios from natural disasters arent all that fun because they force you into weird playstyles that the game would normally punish. I loved the mass transit and green cities scenarios though and i really hope. That more scenarios will released in tge futuee
Somehow you make it look tough. I got this scenario without complications of separating uses or forcing people to use mass transit. Just trams at the very beginning and slowly grow everywhere. One tile was enough. I like to see how you overcome the problems you create! Keep up!
Could definitely improve the weekly passenger numbers by:
1. 13:51 The highway sections you placed to block pedestrians could be serviced by buses to allow residents to get to the metro.
2. Highway bridge to block pedestrians between industrial and commercial while allowing trucks to pass.
3. Short bus loop in your commercial zone to metro.
4. Isolate University from metro station with a short cable car service.
5. 19:57 Create a metro line between residential and industrial/office instead of cable car because there is too high a demand to cross the river, causing a congestion at the cable car stops across the river.

So did you ever get the sparkly unicorn? I hand just the one left, getting 150k population is hard on its own, then adding constant disasters is about impossible
I did it in week 282. I spamed buses in the start (as soon as I unlocked them) and kept spaming buses. When i unlocked the metro I took all the loans possible just to build metro because I thought its the big deal. Well the buses were transporting 1500 when I added metro They droped to 1200 while metro was 400-500 people. Even at the very end buses were at 2200+ while metro at 800+ IDK buses seem broken. Worth noting I achived those numbures at the end with 40k+ population. While you had 20k only. Guess focusing on growing city asap into using only buses might be better. I personaly focused on not having electricity or water shortage during any point + perfect garbage fire and police. TLDR Spend all budged as soon as essential is slightly off while perma creating new bus lines.
I think when I get to try this I'll just run the cable cars up the hill from the metro stops rather than duplicating the route a block over.
This approach definitely worked! It was close, I think 343/350 weeks, but by the time I had those above ground metros rolling WITH the vehicles of the world pack, those counts were rolling and my commercial area stop was average 1200 a week. I added in the airport, made possible only by the huge loan I was able to hit when the population went up. That, with a separate metro connection in the commercial area, brought the main station to 1700. I didn't do the cable cars the way you did, I simply added two lines connecting the two residential areas to the commercial hub, which allowed the overflow to happen on the metro lines. The rest was the same. In the end I was able to rake in enough cash to throw down a few landmarks, just for the fun of watching those upgrades go off.
Thanks again for another helpful video!
I love you playing scenarios 💕
Thanks for making these videos. Tutoria videos were great to watch and really helped me learn things without having to rely 100% on my own trial and error! Would like to see more videos about the Sparkly Unicorn Rainbow Park unlock. I completed Alpine Villages. I was playing as I was watching your video. Would like to see you do the other scenarios too!
I think feeding ppl to the metro via bus line adds to the total amount of ppl transported per week via public transport.
