  1. The US Air Force need to need to upgrade this aircraft. It is well maintain but really old. The 747-8 is the only four engine aircraft built by Boeing that can replace the 707.

    2. A 250-mile signal sweep range is no longer sufficient for early warning..
    3. What is cruising altitude?

  4. Recent events have shown that either we aren't actually doing anything or are just perpetually "training". Literally some random lady in Montana first reported the first balloon. China just proved they could have floated in a nuke and none of our tech matters

  5. AWACS aside, when I was in the USAF, there were airplanes that would come to the base I was on that had some of the craziest antenna configurations you could ever imagine. I once asked a Pilot, "Hey Sir, what is that airplane used for?" ….."Weather observations". was all he said.

  6. чистотеоретически такую антенну ну это вращающееся можно скрыть и внутри корпуса какого нибудь боинга 747 только корпус надо сделать радиопрозрачным из композитных материалов это дороговато конечно но на нуждах обороны экономить нельзя первое что пришло в голову.)
