Amazing explanation but … Something I asked myself after watching the film and also includes some of the plot from aliens and that is… If weyland yutani knew about the xenomorphs on lv426 why didnt they just went back to the derelict on the planet instead of going for the nostromos wreckage, and also why didn't they do anymore searching after what happens in romulus until 37 years later when ripley was found in aliens ? Maybe there's an answer on some comic or media I don't know of 🤔

Personally….the film was a massive let down. Plot holes,crap effects, and the new alien at the end was simply ridiculous.

One way to see it is If you consider the alien vs predator series to be canon. The company already knew about the xenomorphs.
Facehuggers were reverse engineered from Big Chap's DNA, likely via the abundance of resin Big Chap was encased within.
This however did not work perfectly, as the Facehuggers are notably darker, possessing barbed digits, and likely possessing a mutated organ that produced Z-01, rather than Acid.
Meaning this recreation was not 100% efficient, likely due to the limited tech seen on the Renaissance station – (Fede Alvarez has stated the universe's tech is delegated off a class system).
This also means that the Xenomorphs are not the same – which likely explains the weaker birth of the Chestburster from Navarro, and the newly found cocoon shortly after.
Due to the quality of the hive, it's apparent it was made by Drone Xenomorphs akin to Big Chap, rather than Warrior Xenomorphs like in Aliens.
This is because the hive in the eggmorphing scene of Alien resembled a much gooier, blotchier resin structure – vs the sleek, ripped design in Aliens.
When a Drone is born, they eventually grow into a Queen where their offspring result in Warrior variants – that are more adept for hive protection and resin secretion.
I do believe we see a (brief) closeup glimpse of the Queen just as Rain looks down the hive corridor, which would be a nod to Alien Isolation which hints at a Queen without revealing it.
Along the hive appear several chestbursted victims, revealing one dead "parasitoid" (Facehugger) that's pale like a traditional Facehugger we've come to expect-
Suggesting Xenomorphs can circumvent their biological mutations via a Queen's offspring, which will always result back to 'Default' genes and DNA – ergo pale Facehuggers.
Since we only see one Facehugger with these features however, it's hard to say how many (traditional) Warriors were actually on the station.
What's important to remember however is that when one Queen is evolved from a Drone, all subsequent Drones during that time have their growth stunted, or at least that's my headcanon.
That's what we see throughout Romulus. Sleek headed Xenomorphs are Drones. Meaning, none of them came from the Queen but remain after the Big Chap purge.

That is one thing that made no sense. With like a dozen drones on the station they would have sought out any face huggers to release them. More over if the station was overrun WY would not abandon the thing full of XX121 samples.

Why was a cocooned Big Chap found floating around Nostromo wreckage? The Nostromo was vaporized in a triple nuclear fusion explosion, and not only that, Ripley carried Big Chap away from the Nostromo with the Narcissis shuttle

Dumbest solution – crash the space station into the rings. The mining colony was close. Wonder why this wasn't done away from an active colony? Yeah. I figure this was gonna be the test platform for what was engineered. The fail-close process, if the station was breached by the Xenos, should've had Mother move the station to the nearest star.
