in America we have an angry chap named Alex Jones, who discusses these topics. He'd probably win over a bigger audience if he had a sense of humour. He seems to have the opposite of 'a sense of humour' — what would you call that?
Just a mild wee counterthought to the "military entertainment complex" complaint: there's a case to be made that if we didn't have e.g. Top Gun Maverick and its ilk buoying enthusiasm for and membership of our militaries, we'd be steamrollered and taken over by other nations who did . I get your frustration and I share it! But, "defence" is a necessary evil and whole complex mess, in most part due to our tribalistic nature. Groups like to take over other groups and if your group isn't the strongest… you might get annexed by the one who is. Annex or be annexed!
i don't have anything insightful to say here. it's a very sobering moment, when you pull out the figures that BAE, Elbit, etc. are pulling down, and you realise that their material concerns are directly aligned with causing untold death and destruction. it's disgusting.

For nearly 10 years I served this country, although most of it was as a reservist. What most of you plebs don't realise is we are not the good guys.

In 97, I realised people are oblivious to what goes on. I left the TA and turned 180 and started to hate this country. I despise all government. And yes, your council tax does go to fund arms companies as found out during the financial crisis in 08, where my local council lost £60+ million overnight………… through failed Icelandic banks………. While some holocaust survivors did go to Israel, they actually faced discrimination… treated with suspicion, Ben Gurion, the architect of the project to make a country for white people in Arabia as other Europeans had in N.America and Australia, thought the survivors must be "the bad ones", who survived by selling out others to save themselves. Many would leave when the USA opened its borders to them shortly afterwards. So, why do we think of Israel as being basically holocaust survivors? Well, in large part, because the German arms industry saw it as a way to make money… the German taxpayer would buy the weapons to ship to Israel to kill Palestinians, and be told the money was "reparations" because of how bad they felt about the holocaust… while their actual victims who survived the camps didn't see a penny. Despite the fact that these Europeans had travelled to Arabia to kill Arabs, they told the holocaust survivors that the Arabs were the ones who started the conflict, being like the Germans, "they want to kill us all too"… was a complete fiction, Palestinians were multi-religion, multi-ethnic, multi-lingual… David Cameron's "well I'm not a lawyer" is because he knows that we have this little legal calve out, by refusing to legally recognise the existence of Palestine, we basically can't prosecute people for "war crimes" against the people there… you can do ANYTHING to them, test weapons, biological experiments, or just sick sexual urges. The "war on terror" was about protecting this evil, people were told "they hate us for our freedoms", inciting the Islamophobia that will bring about our next holocaust… even though the letter sent by the hijackers had said it was actually about support for Israel. Since 1990, "the West(tm)" (primarily Britain, France and the US) have averaged a kill rate of 100,000 people across N.Africa into the Middle East, 4 million muslims in this region… "terrorists" is just our new word for "savages", basically, brown people who fight back. The orders from Hamas was to kidnap people they could use to bargain for the release of their people kept in the torture prisons… almost everything else said was pure lies, I don't think there's a single country, including Israel, that actually recognises the places attacked as being Israeli territory. "The right to defend itself" is the lie repeated often enough, if it wasn't even Israel that was attacked, but militarised outposts placed on Gazan territory to deprive them access to their farmland. Europeans, including many from Britain, have been torturing Palestinians there since the 1920s, all in the name of civilised behaviour.

I love the way you mix comedy and silliness along with the harder hitting stuff. I think it's a good way to get these thoughts into the heads of people who might not watch an episode about "why is war bad" but will watch a "silly video" and then inadvertently learn something!
