Through overreaching emissions output standard changes with little regard to how automotive manufacturers will meet these standards and who ultimately pays for it, which always come down the line to the end consumer, the EPA has almost entirely killed the diesel engine; an extension of one of man kind’s most important inventions.

The EPA is trash
so uh…. when are we going to enforce regulations and standards on the EPA and the rest of the government for that matter, the way they have been on us and fuckin' up everyone's lives in the process…
The only reason I wouldn't get a modern diesel is because it would be a pain in the ass to delete all the emissions equipment.
On the gasoline side of things that’s why you see direct injection which has issues and turbo engines. They Openly want to get rid of combusting engines. But what’s gonna happen is make everything so expensive we are poor. Per nations who don’t have EPA type governance will surpass is easy. The key to a thriving society is cheap energy.

Study showing new cars or less reliable than they used to be
Funny how the EPA punished manufacturers for a "defeat device" that increased mpg. Duh, if you don't burn as much fuel, you don't pollute as much, and are less likely to need ancillary devices to control smog. What they are doing to diesels is the same as what happened in the 1970's and 80's to gas engines. Put ancillary devices on the engine that cut power in half and cause fuel consumption to skyrocket in order to control smog; if they weren't burning as much fuel, they would put out half the smog in the first place.
Curious on your thoughts on diesel-electric hybrid trucks, more primarily such as the one @_edison.motors on titkok is creating. They use battery power to initially start moving, but then a smaller diesel engine keeps the truck at highway speeds, while keeping the batteries charged (I believe this is how it works to my knowledge)
Thank you!
There is this new zero emissions technology that's coming on line hopefully very soon for diesels.
About money and control over emmisions. China has no epa standards niether does most of the rest of the world. Why are we forced to comply when we are one if the least guilty of pollution.? Much of California's pollution actually comes from China.
EPA will go down, useless shit regulations!
Scotus just straightened out the epa, and all other agencies that think they make law.
Nuclear powered electirc engines are the future.
This was an all out attack initiated by the WEF, Klaus Schwab and George Soros. They used the EPA and European Union as their enforcers. This is all designed to destroy our energy industry… Why? To collapse our economy and get us into the NWO. Don’t be naïve, the EPA is a horrible institution. The lawsuit against VW/ Audi was corporate intimidation. The whole thing was bogus, “Truth in Engineering” was a poke in the eye of the EU and EPA as it was proving diesel was the fuel of the future. The programing change was to account for clogging DPF’s, there was nothing sinister about it. Clean diesel is extremely clean, all the new emission components now required are to make diesel less efficient.
There's only one thing wrong with this video. You said that the EPA has done some good, and that they have good intentions. Nothing about the agenda ahead of 2030 is good or being done with good intentions.
They want to push electric by making diesel more burdensome by comparison.
To combat ULS Diesel lacking lubricity, I added ash less marine 2 stroke oil to my 7.3 and noticed an immediate difference after adding it. My injectors were noticeably quieter
you seem to be missing the point that not doing any of this will also lead to a long term disaster brewing in the near future or more realistically we already had these disasters and many places and these limits were a direct result of trying to get out of these problem of insane air pollution.
We are already to late to stop climate change from happening but that doesnt me we shouldnt try to slow it down.
The entire goal of the war on fossil fuels is to force everyone to migrate to electric vehicles. A fetish of the tree hugger community that is more expensive and worse for the environment and economy. Typical boondoggle.
The epa killed the ability for any new engine manufacturers to be created.. They go after small businesses and shut them down while huge corps will pay the fines and continue on.
I believe they are making fuel so expensive and implementing impossible standards is to take rights away from citizens.. Internal combustion engines have given so much freedom and power to the average person, the "elites" want to take it away.
Well, if all the emission systems fail because of gunking and oiling and carbonizing of the exausth elements, it should give you a good idea on why you would not want to breath it.
After treatment systems should not be expensive to repair, except maybe for the DPF. If Ram is charging you 800$ for a cheap plastic urea pump for your truck, knowing you MUST fix it or it just won't work, this is not the epa's fault. Fixing an urea injector should be easy and cheap, why is it not?
Also, those systems are so cost cutted engineered, no surprise they won't last. If you build engines, why would you want those systems to last if your client need to fix them for the engine to keep working?
Gasoline engines are also facing stricker and stricker emissions and they are more powerful, cleaner and last longer than ever. Emissions system are very reliable but you do not need to get them fixed for the car to run.
Ohh and they need to last 10 years 100 000 miles… By the law, no wonder why they are reliable…
The EPA is just an excuse to further tax the lower class.
i love the torque of the diesel engines, however if left unmonitored, diesels in big numbers are very very bad for your health.
after visiting my uncle in a small town in poland i was glad they are banning old diesels in germany.
basically once the vw diesel gate got uncovered those cars lost their value, so polish folks happily bought them.
about 90% of the cars there were diesels and my god, i never smelled and tasted so much metal in my life.
these people will face severe consequences to diesel related illnesses, such as lung cancer, strokes, alzheimers etc etc.
instead of whining about how bad and evil the government is, you should be happy about non polluted air and complain to the car manufactures about their atrocious component quality and greed.
modern cars could be 5 times more reliable if higher quality materials were used, but hey some multimillionaire needs a couple of more millions in his bank account to fully indulge in happiness.😎🤑
Great video! Let's go Brandon!
This emissions garbage has killed farmers truckers the railroad and other businesses and the engines the epa has maid the country worst and liberals and the democratic and don’t get my started on ev cars it’s takes more materials and energy than it dose for gas and diesel and it hurts the plant more and I don’t even believe in that at all but back to my point they have killed this country look up railroads and how there quitting not just because of this but the democrats gotta go we make more money drilling for gas and oil and so much more this is the down fall of so much this shit gotta stop
Epa is basivally beig too strict and at the same time making truckers to keep older trucks runnig producin even More pollution
enviromentalists rarely realise they only get open ears as long as noone is hungry
Never fun walking along a road full of diesels as you puke ur guts out at the foul air.
I'm sick of the EPA I'll keep it real fuck those guys
Boy the government is really good at screwing the people over. I have to wonder if things like this could lead to a new revolution.
F the EPA!!! A simpler way to clean up city pollution is by getting rid of the fucking city!!!
If you are lucky enough to own a pre 2007 light duty diesel car or truck with mechanical injection, add 1qt Automatic Transmission Fluid to every 10 gal. of diesel fuel. The fuel you are buying today doesn't have the lubrication qualities those systems required for long life durability.
Not a chance in hell they are trying to save the planet for other forms of life, maybe even human? Naw, didn’t think so..
I LOVE diesel as much as the next guy, but I know that electric has better torque, is clean and brings TCO way down.
Your American view that if it’s government, it’s corrupt, has most citizens working against the system designed to protect and help them. What a perfectly self-defeating pattern. Who would really benefit from that attitude widely held…?
Industrialists? Others who want to profit on things the government would be wise to control for everyone’s benefit? Right.
EPA making rules that don’t do any good to accomplish mythical goals they can’t accomplish. EPA rules use more energy and polute more than they accomplish !!
Sucks we didn't get all the good diesels that toyota put out for thier vehicles. Diesel is miles better than gasoline in so many ways its ridiculous. Better power and WAY better efficiency. The epa is trash.
interestingly that goes back to Nixon! if they continue that crazy, detrimental legislation, watch out for the next election.
Call BS. Existence of the EPA is not worth our tax dollars. They’ve done more harm than good. The only way the EPA is a good thing is if you work for them and getting paid by them.
If they kill off diesel our whole transportation system will fall apart electric is just not stable enough especially with California’s shitty electric system that’s 40 years old, The vehicles are great if maybe every house had solar panels but who can afford that, and I’m not talking about grid tie inverters which is probably the only thing USA will allow I’m one of those do it illegal off grid inverters they can handle 18,000 watts continuous with split phase
If they kill diesel that’s like killing our road construction and food transportation system and let’s not forget diesel generators that power electricity motors which are practically what trains are then what’s gonna transport all the vehicles.
They are playing a bad game of Jenga.

Good riddance. It is highly polluting, and if it cannot operate cleanly then it cannot operate.
Simple, they are killing the diesel engine in order to force you to buy even more expensive electric vehicles. All a scam.
It‘s pretty much here in germany.
Also they Tax the Diesel engines and the Fuel itself immensely and thus drive up the general costs of living in literally all regards.
Since all trucks run on it, the cost of all goods and services have increased alot.
It sucks. I am a huge diesel fan.
