How STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl Is Shaping Up To Be The MUST-PLAY GAME OF THE YEAR

November 20th marks the release of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl to PC and Xbox Series X|S and this upcoming open-world survival shooter has been a long time coming, it having been first announced way back in 2010 before being dissolved and revived.

Developer GSC Game World have shuttered and re-emerged in that time too, but the change of leadership at the Ukrainian studio (now relocated to Czechia) has done nothing to disillusion those expecting a sci-fi shooter.

Stalker 2 looks fantastic, it’s evocative, decrepit world replete with hostility doesn’t care about the player. Gunfights will be tense, and there’s a complex narrative filled with meaningful choice underpinning the action. The question is, will Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl get in the conversation for game of the year?

  1. You know that fascist Russia wages war, killing people, some devs, too and forced them to move to Prague?

Fascism will always win, because people like you are too afraid to speak truth and because you want fascist clicks.

  2. I pray for the Ukrainian people and all the struggle they've been through in the last years. Also I really hope the game will do good. Actually I know it will. It has such an amazing community of modders that will take this and polish it beyond imagination. Also, wtf GamingBolt, you guys farm views with this game but don't respect the developers enough. You're a disgrace to gaming journalism.

  4. Absolutely disgusting that someone would even make a video talking about the journey the developers in this game have been on only to censor the BIGGEST hurdle and one of the most traumatic thing ANY development studio has had to overcome to make art so you could cash in on your stupid quick consumption clickbait bullshit, blocking this channel from my home page every single time it pops up. Fuck you.

  5. I've never played stalker before, but I hate games with clunky mechanics and controls and the excuse being It's supposed to be like that to make it more immersive. Just give me a game that has good mechanics and controls well. Ramp up the difficulty, if you want to.

  6. Those American accents better be placeholders. It ruins the immersion, just like it did in Atomic Hearts and Chernoblyte. I really don't want to have to play this one with subtitles.

  7. I literally got an Xbox series X just for this game when it was first announced that it would be a DAY 1 launch on game pass. Since then though I have built a gaming rig which is more powerful than the series x so idk whether I should purchase it on PC or just play it on the x.
