Interesting to see that, unlike western legacy aerospace, China is embracing Lessons from SpaceX. Not only with reusability but also with development strategies.
As we've seen from SpaceX, plenty of fireworks to come. Woohoo!
So re 4:00 how about this: the launch tower won't need to actually be that much higher because the launch mount will feature that flame trench, to be dug out underground moving the launch ring and everything closer to the ground.
I'm not going to pretend to know anything about what Space X will do, but here's a comment for the algorithm either way 😀
Any chance the launch mount is being built lower or at ground level now that it is with flame trench? This would make the tower “higher” relative to the bottoms of the booster.

Where does the SpaceX Sanchez site end in terms of how close to the highway? Are all the cars parked on the side of the road parking on public land or did SpaceX put the container wall slightly further from the highway than it was legally entitled to so that it still had a strip of its own land next to the highway for employees to park on?
What I'm wondering is whether, once the carpark is operational and there are no employees needing to park nose-on to the container wall, whether SpaceX might have the rights to move that perimeter slightly closer to the highway to give a bit more available space within the Sanchez site.
Build an Exhaust Diversion Trench and then, of course, Starship will have future problems with engine damage at launch.
Driving through that seawater on the road is going to tear the shit out of the vehicles.

Please keep in mind, the tower would be "taller" if the launch mount was lower..🤩
😅maybe the new launch mount will be shorter, so the distance to the top of the tower will effectively increased allowing for taller rockets with the existing tower. The new flame trench may allow this

What is interesting is that we all know the Chinese are supposed to not have access to the regular internet and yet how quickly this got out. Certainly not a gov release.
I guess we aren't as separated from each other as the Chinese gov likes to believe. Probably telling the bosses only what they want to hear. Though its hard to hide the Chinese sending up their own 4th of July fireworks. (A show of support?)

I am starting to think the rocket design is stupid, stacking the stages on top of each other instead of side by side like the shuttle or delta iv. Solid rocket boosters were also reliable and reuseable
18:38 It isn't their first rocket that fell on or near residential areas. The only thing that will be learned from this is how to better secure a rocket for a static fire. Safety for the people in the area has and will never be on their radar.

There will be a flame trench similar to Massey's this will create a lower OLID and allow a taller stack.
