How SpaceX & Elon Musk Land Billion Dollar Contracts So Fastโ€ฆunlike others!
Billion-dollar contractsโ€”an aspiration many aerospace firms strive to achieve at least once in their operational tenure. However, for SpaceX, securing such contracts has become a routine feat, accomplished swiftly and repeatedly over recent years, defying industry norms characterized by cutthroat competition.
The pace at which SpaceX lands these lucrative contracts is unprecedented and, frankly, astonishing in the fiercely competitive aerospace landscape. How does SpaceX manage to secure these billion-dollar deals with such rapidity? What sets them apart in this realm?
Join us today on Alpha Tech as we delve into SpaceXโ€™s unparalleled success in swiftly securing billion-dollar contracts and explore the strategies propelling their meteoric rise in the aerospace industry.

  1. NASA: A billion dollars could have bought us a fuel pump for the SLS rocket.
Blue Origins: Our โ€˜suborbitalโ€™ rocket works why donโ€™t we get contracts? I guess we gotta sue our โ€œcompetitorsโ€.
Boeing: Why isnโ€™t NASA buying our fuel pump for a billion dollars?
ULA: Is the DOD breaking up with me? ๐Ÿ˜ข
Space X: We didnโ€™t need the money, but itโ€™s nice to see US bureaucracy funding progress for a change.

  2. unlike other competitors, SpaceX puts huge chunks of the money back into research and development and in turn they will test and test and test until they get 100% then get billions in contracts for that new rocket.

  3. All good!
Theres a passage in the Tao:
"Get results, get results, get results."

I think that explains it with Elon and his Space Cadets Army…

Personally, I feel honored, that my time on planet over lapped with that tribe.

One minor thing I am seeing now, is a vast change in comments online concerning SpaceX. Used to be mostly adoration. But now days I see people analyzing and making suggestions, and trying to help with concepts, and some are really good. I was doing writs in comments a few years back trying to encourage that, and fighting battles with Clique Trolls trying to play dominance and control games.

I think its a gold mine of brain power, and will probably help the younger start ups most, who are finding their path.

Imagination is more important than knowledge, but with hundreds of thousands of active minds at work in comments, I'm pretty sure we have plenty of both.
And Elon loves innovation. Solutions to problems equals progress.

And I think with a Gazillion other Space Companies coming up fast, its good we dont run out of brains like Arthur C Clarke worried about.
Best we use more Renegade Brain power, and not less…
Godspeed SpaceX in the new year!

  5. SpaceX has made rockets fun again. They allow us to see things that other companies do not. They have shared openly allowed everyone to go on the journey with them. Lots of utubers make bank on SpaceX. . Who else put Christmas lights on a rocket ๐Ÿš€

  6. The days of " good old boy " aerospace are over. Intentional cost overruns, and delays intended to bleed more money out of the government ( taxpayer ) are over. Musk dosen't have to buy politicians to get contracts.

  7. If SpaceX manages to make Starship work – to be totally reusable – they will be almost unstoppable. And will hold that position for a decade or more. That, in turn, will make throw-away rockets obsolete. The odd thing is, reusability was the path to cheap access to space, but only one man, Elon Musk, had the stones and the drive to make it happen.

  8. Musk Leadership is second to none. He has a goal of accomplishment not a political agenda.
It has been said that the camel was designed by committee whose task was design a horse.
SpaceX is after a proper space launch vehicle first.

  9. SpaceX did what no person, company or even country, has done.
That's the thing that "defies industry norms." The rest isn't a surprise…
but rather it's what you'd hope for and expected in a rational world.
