I think it's very easy for us to tell a player to walk away from a salary like, these players make. You'd need a law degree or a medical degree to walk away from the NFL and take care of your family in the manner they like, with an NFL salary.

Watching Rodney Harrison speak about life struggles while the crowd behind him cheered and frothed at the mouth epitomizes football. Watching the host trying to rationalize an inherently violent sport that cannot exist without brain and bodily trauma is interesting. A human life does have a $ value–why we have actuaries.
