I have not played since 7th, but I have a Legion Imperialis box coming tomorrow. I am very excited about the combined arms aspect. I really like the idea of whole army war game. I am super excited and cannot wait to get into it.
The only way I've gotten my ad mech to feel, somewhat more interesting, is allying a knight to them in 2k – still get loads of ad mech models, get a big chonker to go with it. Fits the theme for me like how they were back in 7th.
GW are pushing Snaggas very hard this edition to the point you pretty much have to include them if you want to be remotely competitive. Another reason I'm not really enjoying 10th.
I had just got off a deployment ready to play a game of 10th ed around Nov. Havent managed to get a single game in, but my group has really gotten into Infinity.
Absolute blast to play with them, even running a campaign for it. Im really wanting to play everything HH, but no one here wants to jump in
9th was a little harder to wrap your head around, but 10th is not simpler. The way everything interacts feels much more complicated. To me 10th is the worst edition we've ever had, it's a loser's compromise between pleasing competitive and casuals with absolutely no incentive to do narrative. There are fun ideas in it, but as a whole it's just kind of bad. The powerlevel 2.0 system really does it no favors either.
Our group stopped playing 10th entirely and have gone back to occasionally playing 9th. We're pretty much set on the next ~5 years being a break from GW's mismanagement. Maybe 12th edition will be better, but 11th will just be a prolonging of their bad choices.
Having a great time playing Grimdark Future. 10th edition killed my motivation after slogging through 9th, and now I am having the most fun I have had in years!
Since it is model agnostic, I can bring my 40k models and mix in other stuff as I please and nobody bats an eye. Good times. Gaming feels fun again.
Competetive play is the worst thing to ever happen to tabletop. They made so much noise, they managed to get the whole company to focus on their BS. Changed the whole ruleset for them. Now the game is utter trash.
I think the GW report was declining sales but record profit and revenue. It means that their whale based gouging tactic is working. Sell less for more. I expect them to continue this trend until they find the balance point, where they start to make less by losing too many customers.
I can't wait to see the woke producers and directors working at Amazon to get their hands on the 40k. The backlash to gender and race diverse space marines will be incredible.
What's weird about the US, is the country officially adopted the Metric system back in the 60s I think it was. The general public just never accepted it, so the country is stuck in this weird measuring system limbo.
Hi Winters, please can we see some 40K Ad Mech on the Channel? I understand you not wanting to play them yourself, but you could have a guest on that plays them.
I started playing with my Ad Mech at the very end of 9th. I'm enjoying 10th but keep getting beaten by Tyranids and Space Marines in my hobby group, partly due to the fact that it takes so long to build and paint models. I've tried watching some bat reps on other channels to get some tips on how to play them, but I'm not a fan of the long form content and much prefer your style! Thanks 🙂
Yay Winters!!
How much fun am I having. I'm flitting between projects working on my idoneth and cities of sigmar.
Eager for the old world.
Having fun playing 3.5 edition at our club but do love watching 10th when people play that.

I've started playing 2nd edition again and it's the most fun I've had
Im ready for Deathwing Assault. Dark Angels getting some love finally
I feel like all the people who complain about no xenos in Horus Heresy are missing the point of playing a game in the Horus Heresy
Having a great time! Only obstacle that I'm facing is trying to set up times that my friend and I can get together and play some games.

General consensus is that people are having fun then
