  1. Another metric used by researchers to determine the actual number of casualties was the Russian social services. Though Russian authorities massively downplay and conceal the true numbers of casualties, dead and permanently disabled, it never occurred to them to hide the number of disability claims. Some bright sparks used that data to gain a more accurate picture of Russian losses. They are staggering and, I feel, unsustainable.

  2. A simple calculation in an artillery/drone war is to look at the ratio of guns and ammo.

As Russia has artillery supremacy then you don't have to be a rocket scientist to work out Ukraine is being malleted.

Wagners casualty ratio in Bakhmut was the worst Russia suffered in the conflict yet still had two to one in their advantage.

Ukraine also dump their own bodies in unmarked mass graves to hide the truth and avoid paying war pensions to bereaved families.

They have lost at least half a million dead.

    This article is bollocks.

  3. I went to Russia just as the Afghan war ended. My interpreter took me to 2 graveyards in Volgograd. There were more war graves in those two graveyards than Russia reported for the whole war. They lie. Russia also says the war ended in the mid 50s. The people they murdered in post war purges are counted as war dead. The government is truely evil. The people are very nice but have no faith or belief in the government.

  4. To be fair, If we depart from the mindset that Russia, might be hiding or minimizing the truth of their stats, then it would also make sense that ukraine, UK and US, also inflate those stats, if they are in the opposite site.

So in these 2 sides, i would say they are both saying lies, only time will actually tell.

  5. Wether or not the war ends now or later Russia will be militarily and economically depleted to the point that when China seizes the Russian Far East (RFE) Russia will not be able to resist. There are only 6 to 8 million people in the RFE and virtually no Russian military only Border Guards and some National Guard. Chinese’s only problem is what to do with the Russian civilians they capture.

  6. I would like to see leaders in the front. They sending innocent kids towards death for their power, greed and glory. Putin finally gonna pay with he’s life, but unfortunately after a huge price paid from different countries. We are in world war lll and humanity is in biggest tragedy ever.

  7. who cares about these numbers that we can't verify. what is clear to everyone is that 2 years into this war, Ukraine still hasn't recovered nearly 20% of land lost to Russia. It's obvious who is wining.

  8. Soviet doctrine is to absorb all losses. In ww2, When a Russian soldier asked where is my gun he was told you will get your weapon from your fallen comrade. Losses are largely irrelevant to Russia

  9. China WILL be wanting returned the parts of Eastern Russia that were grabbed by Russia from the old Chinese Empire in 1860 by the Treaty of Tientsin, a time when all the European countries were all getting in on the act!

  11. Western reports suggest 1000's of Russian conscripted zombies attacking with nothing but shovels. Everyone else reports well armed Russian volunteers with better weapons and more of them up against Ukrainians who have been literally dragged from the streets by press gangs and forced to fight. Which one sounds more likely?

  12. I can't fault the methodology used but…
Reports of Russians being unable to get death benefits as loved ones have gone AWOL and officers not reporting deaths so that they can keep their wages mean that there are still flaws in this count and Russian deaths are probably higher.

  13. Russian mothers are going to be relieved to hear that they might be mourning the loss of their sons – but three times the amount of Ukrainian mothers are mourning the loss of their sons.
