Because of the foundation that Chatrapati laid for the Maratha empire by 1759, the Maratha empire grew so vast that, it stretched from regions of modern day haryana all the way to Karnataka and even further!! and more than the vast lands and forts that Chatrapati conquered, while the Mughals turned the life of the common people into a living hell with ruthless massacres, killings absolute disregard for their security , Chatrapati established such a harmonious rule that even today that is 340 years after his death, the people of Maharashtra celebrate Shiv Jayanti as if Raje is still alive today!! and as much Raje’s contributions shaped the destiny of India, one of the biggest factors behind his success was a brilliant woman named Ausaheb Jijabai Shahji Bhosale who was the mother of Chhatrapati!! and Ausaheb’s parenting and teachings were so powerful that she raised not 1 but 2 Chatrapatis for the land of India!! Who were Chatrapati Shivaji and Chatrapati Sambhai!! and this is what makes one of the greatest teachers in India!!!

Guys do you know why we use term chhatrapati before his name. The story behind this is :- one day raje visited his guru to take his blessings. Guru said to raje that Chhatrapati is someone who protects his people and take care of them from that day raje decided to use term chhatrapati before his name that's how he became chhatrapati shivaji maharaj.

Marathas
Mughals were less in number yet they ruled 30 crore Hindus (300million).. Babur with 12k army defeated 80k rana sangha army which had 80k army members. And population of hindus apart from army is 15crore back then. Then mughal empire expanded to 90% subcontinent area..
Mughals and muslims were very minut minority back then ruled over majority hindu and other religion population for years of 300+.
At last Marathas rised, allies of mughals break into independent states.. Then marathas became a larger power..mughals became small state which Thier power is transfer into delhi only.. During Mughals peak foreign powers feared Mughals and local kingdoms. Then what marathas did for india? Marathas allied with British to defeat Tipu Sulthaan and mysur kingdom.. They(marathas) didn't done freedom fighting instead became British helpers.. So what is greatness of marathas? During that time what mughals did? Mughals at 1857 did rebellion against British who were looting Indian subcontinent by transferring statues, golds, silvers, treasures, resources etc from india to London and other British cities. Even they theft kohinoor diamond.. Vijayanagara empire helped Portuguese to annex Goa from Bijapur Sulthaan.. So result is what in 1705 26% GDP became to 2%GDP in 1944.people starves and effected poverty and unemployment to peak while British were at power.. British see indians as third class people. They have racist mind.. But mughals ended by freedom fighting, resisting, struggling against foreign European power. Mughals became indian didn't had racism they increased industrialisation and led to india as global power.. During Aurangzeb's regime first time india surpassed China's economy. Because china were first economic power due to silk road trade, paper making, printing machine,manufacturing sectors etc..india became most urbanized by mughals.. Every King and rulers did war, even shivaji did it.. Check Earlier wars, what ashoka did at kalinga war?.. During that time no Democratic Thinking.. Kings have power.. So mughals did many good things in art, literature, philosophy like din ilahi, encouraged sufism, economical development.. Every landowners were rich, encouraged agricultural development.. Economics is better than Delhi Sulthanate.. What marathas did? Any economical benefits? They didn't build temple in ayodhya? Why? They became British's puppert
