How I use a Little Golden Book Junk Journal/Flip Through/Disney Scrapbook

Hello and thanks so much for joining me today. I get many questions about how to use a junk journal so today, I am sharing how I use a Little Golden Book junk journal. I have been a scrapbooker almost all of my life and I now do all of my scrapbooking in a junk journal. This is a flip through of a junk journal that I recently made to document part of a 2022 Walt Disney World trip. I am sharing what ephemera I include and how I use it throughout the journal as well as many ways to document large amounts of photos. Please comment below and like and subscribe for more junk journaling videos.

  1. New subbie here. I love your ideas and the way you use the goodies you collect.
I live in Florida and am used to a lot of things you enjoy; I'll look at them with new eyes. We moved here because I loved the flowers, the heat, the beach and all that is Florida, but we've been here for 38 years now. I still adore all of the flowers and our growing season, our birds and critters but the heat is wearing on me. 😋

  2. I love how you documented your disney trip. How were you able to gauge how many pages you needed for the amount of photos you wanted to included? And how were you able to use the specific papers to match your story in chronological order? Can't wait for more videos of you documenting your trip! Thanks for sharing!

  3. Thank you for sharing! Your style of journaling completely matches mine! ❤️ I'd LOVE to see your process and how you plan, and I'd adore a "journal with me" series!!! I'm going to the Mothership (Disneyland) 🤣🤪 in October and currently have several attraction Little Golden Books in my Amazon cart for my future journals.

  4. Loved your travel journal!! I liked the vellum pockets, you can see what is inside of them. All the flip outs were great, that would have added lots of extra space to my travel journals. I am glad you included the book pages too, and did not cover them up with ephemera. It looks like you had a wonderful trip, lots of delightful photos, and the fancy drinks. I am glad I watched this, you made it look adult friendly and not so kiddie rides and Disney characters. Thank you for sharing.

  5. Rhonda! This is a fantastic journal. We are two peas in a pod. Lol I save everything from our travels too. My husband just rolls his eyes. Now I know just what to do with it all. Yay. Thanks for sharing this. Do you have a tutorial on making any of these pages, pockets and flips, etc???

  7. 5 albums for one vacation?! Wow! I'm doing something similar to a junk journal, but it's a regular journal with junk pages glued in as needed. So some of the more journal-y pages are on regular paper, but there are lots of things glued in. (Have to have an elastic to hold things together when I'm not using it.) We're going to Disney for my birthday this year so I've been prepping a travel journal/planner/scrapbook/autograph book. It's been really fun to do because I've had a Disney Kids Guide from 2009 on my shelf since I went way back then, so I've been cutting out my favorite rides to glue in as I ride them when I go! I also thrifted a Finding Nemo book and those pages will be in there as-is. I love the idea of having a whole kids' book story in between your own adventures. Such fun!

You did such a beautiful job. I’m sure you will go through this often remembering every detail. Very interesting!!!!

  10. FYI DW has a bus system within Old Key West that you can ride to the main building, as well as to and from the parks.
I would love to see other LGB journals for your Disney trip. Do you practice your journaling on scrap paper the same size as your spot? All your writing seems to fit perfectly, I either have space left over or run out of room.
