How I Keep Daily Life Interesting and Magical – (when mid-winter feels mundane)

While I was – of course – working this week and mostly focused on that, I did try spending my time off doing some activities that bring me joy and help keep winter fun and exciting even when the cold keeps me indoors (and with a cold this week, sadly). Perhaps some of these pastimes inspire you to pursue your interests to shake things up a bit now and then and add some new things to your day. Wishing you the very best ❤️

PS: sorry for the issues with closed captions, YouTube was super buggy this morning and I was having trouble! I will perfect it once I am able.

  3. Paola – thank you for the update; however, you never need to apologize for if/when you share content. You enjoy your new adventures, take care of yourself and we will still be here!

Thinking about the placement of the floral disc(s); possibly on the top corners of the window frame, as an embellishment. Similar to the older homes (early 1900's). If only the one, possibly hang by a cord of sorts, with some attached dried floral for a hanging design.

    Enjoy your day!! 💕

  4. I love collecting river rocks! I am always picking them up and my husband thinks I'm adorable and silly. He likes my childlikeness because it reminds him not to take life so seriously. I line the rocks up by our front door so that, on rainy days, I get to see a whole rainbow when I go outside. I have found pink ones (Zion Ntl Park), Green ones (Denali Ntl Park) and Purple ones (Old Stone Fort Park). They are all so pretty! 😄

  5. Deep snow keeps you in, not a time to be active, so you are making your home cozier and lovelier,
    and communicating with yourself.
It's like sleeping and dreaming in the night.
Please take good care, and hope you get better soon. I caught a cold recently, too. Extra time not doing much but simply relaxing was unexpectedly healing and adjusting to be more optimum. Thank you as always!

  6. Yours is the channel I come to all the time now, to feel light, happy and calm. I know you've received thousands of accolades so I will add to the chorus: you are the breath of fresh air and delight we all need. Your soothing balm of a voice, the music and the images you choose to share are unparalleled in this virtual world. So, on another note. I apologize if I've been invasive or pestering but I'm dying to know the brand name of the low ankle boots, brown leather, you frequently wear. To describe the ones I mean, I think they're around 10" tall, have four eyelets down low, three hooks higher up and have somewhat of a cowboy boot stacked heel, but much lower than the horse wear. Can you give me the brand name? They are so perfect in every way. I'm so eager to wear these on my own forays out into the forest when spring returns. Here's a quick tip for preserving wooden cutting boards and spoons because it's harmless and uses products we all like. The recipe's on line, called Spoon Butter and it uses beeswax and safflower oil as it doesn't turn rancid on the shelf. I also use it on all my leather boots and shoes. Blessing on you, Cottage Fairy. Thank you for these delicious spins through your magical and tingling world! (I'm all a-tingle at times in some of them!) Much love, Louise

  7. Dear Paola, last 4 days im watching you. Im glad & want thanks to you tube to suggest me your channel. You are such a inspiring person. I love and always wanted life like you – away from city & toxic pplz, nearby nature, own house, own space, calm and peachful life. I love also herbal tea, garden, tree, nature, books. I had own house but rent, garden on my balcony, i had almost 3 thousands books, im a writter too, published a book too. But i lost every thing. I lost myself too. Living with a toxic pplz in a very small room, jobless, very sick, all alone. Your voice, work make me calm and peaceful. Thank you so much. When i got job will buy your book. I love to write a letter & love to get a letter. But i dnt have anyone who can send me a letter. No one love me, no one.

I ask you because I don't speak English and even so I watch your videos because they are magical, they produce a sensation as if I were traveling in time to places full of calm and tranquility… Thank you for sharing that little bit of spiritual peace that so much we need.

  10. I love the randomness of your topics. I totally enjoy all of your videos. I love your art and I have purchased some that speaks to me. I have talked myself into gifting 2 of my art prints to my very best friends. I believe they will love them as much as I (at least I hope they will)! I haven't parted with them yet. I know I will need to replace them IF I do find the courage to give them to my friends in the first place. Oh dear, I am in quite state LOL. Have a wonderful week Paola. Thank you for sharing and may God Bless.
