  1. Lie much? Manasota Key is a dump. The majority of the structures and the trailer parks will be condemned because they weren't up to code. Most are wood shacks. And Charlotte County or the state will not spend money on tetrapods to protect the BARRIER island and its coastline including Florida residents, but throws away millions on sand for useless "beach renourishment" for tourists. And you voted for them!

  3. What? CBS didn’t lose its broadcasting license yet? This car has been completely consumed by the sand. 1:09 but I still see it. It is not completely consumed by the sand. Why do people speak like this? It takes credibility away from you Mr. Brawny.

  4. Let those Republican rednecks pull themselves up by their own bootstraps. They voted for climate change by voting Republican. They can now deal with the consequences. Don't expect any handouts from people who were smart enough not to vote Republican.

  6. Hey Republicans!!! Did you survive the storm? Now I suppose you want the gov't that you hate so much to give you tons of "socialist" assistance, paid for by the heavily taxed blue states? Have you contacted Congress to ask why they stopped funding FEMA?!

  7. Why do they want to rebuild here? The same thing is just going to happen again – or worse. Why not build elsewhere? We had a big flood in Colorado back in 2013 and FEMA paid people for their land and helped them get their mortgages cancelled. People were able to move on to a safer place. The people in Florida can barely afford homeowners insurance anymore, let alone flood insurance. What good does it do them – or everyone else in the country who needs homeowners insurance – to so stress the insurance market that they won't be able to afford any and the rest of us will have ours go up to help pay for their losses. To rebuild here is not "resilience" – it is lunacy. It should be made illegal, and it should be illegal to build within a certain distance from the ocean.

  10. You guys used everyone during milton to comment and get views for yourselves, now that that's done you went back to blocking opinions, you don't like. And im not even right wing.
Quit putting yourselves on people's homepage if you don't want them to comment. I will gladly watch something else. We weren't interested in your station anyway, we were interested in milton and the people affected by it.

disasters and financial crises, especially now lot
of folks have lost their homes.l can recall when 1
was homeless and faced with many things in life
until $87,000 began rolling in every 2 weeks ang
my Life went from a homeless nobody to a
different person with good things to offer and not
    depending on the government!!.!!
