What were the Kongs doing in the rocky fiery pit, they were constantly moving rocks around but it didn't seem to have any pattern or purpose I could discern from just the movie.

No wonder the Kongs came close to finishing of the Godzilla species in the great Titan war. It isn't brute strength that gave them an edge over gorillas and MUTOs but their bloody skilled and human like mind. Their brain is their strongest weapon. If one Kong can give single Godzilla such a good fight, then think about 100s armed with weapons and ganging up on their opponents with 10 to 1 ratio. Not to mention Godzilla's came in different size and forms too, smaller ones were torn apart, and their bodies were used to craft weapons.
Skar King: fine, Kong. I’ll give you the battle you’ve long desired.
But please, put up more of a fight than your parents did…..

I think the great war started when space godzilla stayed in hollow earth causing the apes to go to war and as the war went on scar king or one of his ancestors turned bad like space godzilla and like scar king he's just trapped in hollow earth or he was sent to space in the great war giving him the space name because we know godzillas kind can evolve so he is just trying to get back to hollow earths power and is really pissed and our godzilla remembers this one and thats why hes getting pumped up ready to go in last movie not an ape he messed up in 5 seconds but godzilla was way smaller back then to him now aswell
I hope Godzilla has family left and i wonder if the war was orchestrated between the Skaar king and that flying godzilla.

This makes it even worse since the movie only showed Skar King for only 12-15 minutes in the movie.
