How has Iraq changed since the US-led invasion 20 years ago? | DW News

It’s been 20 years since American and coalition forces invaded Iraq on a mission to topple Saddam Hussein’s dictatorship and find weapons of mass destruction.
Within three weeks, Saddam’s regime had fallen, but no stockpiles of nuclear, chemical or biological weapons were ever found.
By the time US troops left in 2011, the insurgency that followed the invasion had claimed the lives of more than 100,000 Iraqi civilians, while US losses reached nearly 4,500.
Now a semblance of normalcy has returned, but Iraq still battles a range of challenges, from political instability to poverty and rampant corruption. Our next report takes a look at today’s Iraq.

  1. Upto now , the U.S. is still waging Wars around the World ! America organized the Coup in Ukraine in 2014 and

led to the current proxy War in Ukraine . And U.S. surveillance planes are flying in the South China Sea weekly

looking for a fight with China . There are too many Warmongers in U.S. and we have to stop them immediately !

"Democracy" & " Human Rights" are being used as a "Weapon of Mass Destruction" by the US politicians .

  2. US sells war making it look justified in the beginning, look at the Ukraine War right now, wait 10-15 years and its "we stepped on the same rakes again" blaming the previous president and on to the next.

  3. What is astonishing is that the criminals who lied their way to have this war are still walking and living their lives as if nothing ever happened and planning their next adventure.
