How GOOD is Prescott Fire Station? (State of Decay 2 HYPER Community Episode 119!)

How GOOD is Prescott Fire Station? (State of Decay 2 HYPER Community Episode 119!)

Time for the big review!

This base is located in the northwest part of Providence Ridge, and it’s quite a large base.

It costs 3500 influence and requires 8 survivors.

You get quite a bit of stuff though.

2 large facilities.
3 small facilities… BUT

You get a generators, a level 3 workshop, a latrine, a bunkroom, a kitchen, a watchtower, and an enhanced gym!

Is it good enough?

  2. It’s a good base just due to the fact that it has so many built in facilities. By this time you already have a stockpile of materials that you wouldn’t use on the workshop, the gym and idk how you hate a kitchen cuz it’s a good morale and stamina boost haha. Those materials can be used on the large facilities since they cost so much and wouldn’t need to rely on the trade depot and influence.

  3. So how does the morale bonus to rationing compare to the bed morale thing? I'm assuming that -15 is for each survivor? Which is the same as having a bunch of infestations on the map. 3 or more is minus 7 a piece. I think 6 or more is what usually gives me minus 15 a piece. The warlord bunk with the white noise machine gives you a +7. But I am just curious because I have never used rationing.

  4. Beds may not be necessary from a strategy point of view but I always build them in my games from a role-playing, immersion point of view. I understand where you're coming from but we all play the way that makes us happy. 😊

  5. Lol, Super Waifu Cafeteria Squad. I do that myself and it's quite obscene how overpowered that setup is. Along with 4 people with Morning Yoga and 2 people with Hygiene Standards. I was lucky enough to get a couple of people with Dosage Control for a big increase in healing efficacy, from recruiting the drunk enclave on top, so my people are quite sturdy when it comes to staying alive. But because of that I also use a Nutritionist. I take your points but I quite like the +30 stamina from making feasts. And if you're saving a ton of food you can spend it on making sure the former models all have a Celery Magnifique at all times.

I agree that the Latrine isn't all that useful later in the game and is taking up a slot much better used by a Shooting Range. But I also keep a Plumber on hand to stack the stamina bonuses. So while feasting I get +70 stamina for 3 food. And with Primary Care + a Fighting Gym, that's +70 Health on top of a huge drop in injury chance for 3 meds, and a 100% drop in injury severity. So your people are all tanks, and essentially Unbreakable. And yeah you don't need many stamina items if your people rarely ever run out of stamina lol.

I always wanted to try this base but yeah, the inflexibility is the issue. It's nice that you don't need the initial dump of materials to get it functional from the start, and it doesn't have as much materials upkeep as other bases will. But as you said it seems more like an early to mid game focused base but aimed at end game communities, which puts it in a very weird spot. I guess it comes down to your playstyle and what you value in your facilities. I personally don't think two large slots is enough for a Forever Community at the hard cap. I still think Whitney Field is probably the best base in the game which makes me really averse to leaving Meagher Valley.

  6. Fox, how do you shoot only with single charges from pyrolauncher? Mine is fully automatic, the only way i can interrupt the burst is by dodging. Or is it some other version of this weapon?
