  1. Nirgal Enterprises gets worse the higher the player count IMO. Sagitta are all the other players going to keep no tag cards so they do not pass them to you I find that very unlikely so you should get all of them every draft. Kuiper if you got a discount for the number of asteroids on the card and they stayed it might be worth playing, I don't think It would be OP since it would do nothing but be a free action at the end of the game

  2. I think you are unerrating Kuiper a bit. Ability sounds pretty broken with right setup. For example there are at least 2 good preludes for it. Orbital and vild tag. Combined with that there more than a few good space tags you want early: optimal, solar wind, Giant space mirors (if playing with colonies), all the colonies cards have space tag, space hotels, setelites, deterium, mercurian aloys ect ect. As I understand it you get new asteroids every gen with your action. And can use them the same gen with effect. To me it looks like a free standart ocean or asteroid every gen pretty fast with right setup. Corp is situational and starting cash is small, but the ability can be broken af.

  3. I had a chance to play Kuiper Cooperative once, along with two preludes and a decent first-gen project card, all with space tags. So I would have gone into Gen 1 with five space tags, which is about as good a start as you're going to get with that corp, but I didn't take it. It's like you said: the starting capital is horrendous and I didn't want to rush the game. I think I played Spire that time, and I spent the science resources on colonies and power prod in the early game, cities and greeneries later on.

  4. I was just introduced to TM and love this game. I quickly went online to learn strategy etc and found you. Your channel is awesome man. I want to play online as well but don't know the best place to play. I've only tried boardgamearena so far. It was pretty good when I got a game, but the queue times are really long. Plus, I've only played a couple games and it's super fast paced. That's fine though, just want to be able to find and play games! Should I get premium on that? Or is there another way that's better? Steam? Help! 🙂

  5. i had other experiences playing nirgal, especially with random milestones and fan-made milestones, ofc that goes for 1 on 1 plays, if preludes offer some production, it can get very very good, good for some power hungry cards and so on, i always had tight games with nirgal and lost by a bit but when i was winning, it was very huge point difference plus there were so many times where i have to claim milestone in some gen and that would prevent me playing some card which would be great to get 1 gen earlier, almost feels like its every game

  6. Awesome video, thank you!
Just a few things that I disagree with:
    1. Nirgal Enterprises is actually very good if you are able to plan to fulfill milestone. These 8M€ in the beginning are very useful.
    2. Imo Sagitta is the worst corp out of the bunch simply because the cards with no tags are the worst in the game.
    3. Kuiper is very good if you have more space tags in the beginning.

  7. So Sagitta is a corp that I think is probably a lot better than it looks. If you think of it as starting with a 1 MC rebate on most cards in the game I'd call that decent, but the biggest overlooked feature is that it triggers off of your PRELUDES too, so on average you start with an extra 2mc. However, some of the best preludes have no tags (!) such as Metals Company, WASA, Supply Drop, Metal Rich Asteroid, Huge Asteroid, etc so those all come with a bonus +4 MC attached to them which can be a huge boost in the early game.

Otherwise, there are a few corner cases- Protected Habs gets really good, Micro Mills becomes playable, Cloud Seeding and Black Polar Dust go up maybe 1 tier, etc.

That being said I think the no-tag synergy angle is bait, full stop. But yeah flat 1 rebate is very good and Preludes will give you an extra 2-8 starting capital for free.

  8. Funny thing about Spire is that it's kinda low-key a Venus corp if you think about it. Certainly it's flexible enough to do other things, but the Venus angle has a LOT of 2+ tag cards and a discount on SP Venus gives you more control over your ability to play them.
Most of the Jovs are also 2 tags, but Jovs don't really benefit from SPs like Venus does.
Finally, the discount on SPs can be used to buy energy prod for City cards, all of which also have 2 tags minimum.

  9. If you think of SP Asteroid and Aquifer is costing roughly 25-50% more than their project counterparts, then each asteroid resource on Kuiper Cooperative is theoretically worth 0.5-0.75 MC, and thus the corp effectively starts with 1-1.5 MC prod built in and adds an extra 0.5-0.75 MC prod to every space tag you gain…

Problem is that those cards fall into a few distinct categories
    Big expensive production cards
    Small cheap nonprodction cards
With very little in between. Adding 0.75 MC prod to Vesta Shipyard, Trans-Neptune Probe, or Io Mining Industries just doesn't elevate them or Kuiper by any meaningful degree.

In short, even if you pop off and gain 10+ Space Tags, are you really doing much better than, say, 8 heat prod? The ceiling is way too low on it.
