  1. if u actually knew anything youd know that EDMs big break was when daft punk played coachella back in the day. after that EDM exploded.

  2. Class move by Fred- That was so sweet of him to pull for Four Tet, and to edit that so fast to play at their set is as clutch as it is endearing. And then there's Frank, who couldn't even make it there within the hour to deliver 1/8 of what he promised… On top of that, I've never seen a marketing job so poorly executed that fans are literally trying to outbid one another on the "No Frank Ocean Merchandise" sign… absolutely blooper-reel level failure… good thing dem edm boyce delivered instead!

  3. Skrillex and Fred Again are cringe machines, the way so many clueless people are acting like they are the saviours of electronic music is hilarious. Fair play if people like them, but electronic music is huge and has a rich culture of subgenres, live music, raves and parties – then we get Pitchfork nerds telling us itโ€™s having a moment because of this circus. Please.

  4. Similar thing happened in Lollapalooza Sao Paulo. Where Drake would perform, but bailed on the actual day. They called Skrillex and he perform on his place, which was waaaaay better, one of the best shows. At the end of the day everyone was happy that he didn't come lol

  5. I don't get the hype. All 3 of them are very talented producers and I've been listening to Four Tet for about 10 years and his work is crazy. But I don't get these dubstep remixes? They sound so bad? What's with USA's hype around dubstep or just wild uncoordinated breakbeat tracks? Or is that the whole point of these 3 coming together, to troll the audience?

  6. I got weekend 2 tickets and my friends were so excited to see frank ocean. I wasnโ€™t as big of a fan and I was kind of dreading going to his set (I didnโ€™t wanna seperate from all my friends). I was actually kind of happy to hear that he had dropped out a couple days before leaving. When I saw Fred again, skrillex and four tet were playing ahead I nearly cried. It was such an amazing set to see live

  7. This is the biggest load of nonsense ever. Did AI write this headline, this premise, and this crappy narrative? EDM is Skrillex, Fred Again, and Four Tet? What??

  8. I was there. It was my first Coachella. Financially I'm not a person who does these type of things, but I bought the tickets for Frank Ocean. I can say Skrillex usually isn't on my radar. I only listen to his songs when he has rappers on them. I went to his set, because what else was I going to do? Boy, he had a table and a microphone and he blew me away. I learned so much about being disappointed and being open minded. I know that sounds corny, but I have new warm memories, new artists I like, and I know to stop idolizing artists now. Frank's music is so old and there isn't even a lot of albums. Why did I act like he was an icon? You can try to make excuses for him about grieving and so on, but all I can say is Skrillex did not disappoint and Frank ocean added to his history of disappointment.

  9. Frank Ocean ? I remember that name from skipping his songs in gta5 .. to call it the worlds most anticipated perfomance is quite a stretch .. and edm has been great and on festivals for 30years.. but allright.. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

  10. Frank Ocean was headlining a Canadian Festival "WAY HOME" in 2017. It was hands down, the worst show of my life. He was so high, he restarted one song 4 times. He couldn't get through most songs and was late.

  11. As good as four tet and the lads are its nothing revolutionary in the grand scheme of dance music, its just managed to break through to a crowd that only occasionally listens to dance music.
