How Far Could A B-21 & F-22 Stealth Package Penetrate Into Russia? (WarGames 111) | DCS

We simulate eastern Russia defended by a S-400, AWACS, Su-35 & Mig-31 defense network. We then fly a B-21 Raider and F-22 Raptor stealth package into Russia and measure how far we get!

  1. I’m not sure you could mod all the advanced anti em capabilities of this aircraft since probably less than 20% has been admired to – b-21 is supposed to be beyond stealth from vids I’ve watched on its abilities. Could be wrong I guess.

  2. I can think of a reason why the B2 or B21 would need to penetrate Chinese airspace. If it came to a war between the US and China, a B2 or B21 would need to penetrate into Chinese airspace to bomb strategic targets such as railway junctions, road intersections, supply bases, bomber bases, nuclear weapons stockpiles, oil refineries, industrial centers, or even do a decapitation strike against Chinese leadership.

  3. Cap, are you adopting?? That is SOOO AWESOME! My wife and I hope to adopt if we are able to catch up on finacials and get into a house, but I have been dealing with some pretty heavy health issues which have been keeping out of work since I got layed off due to the pandemic. If you ever want to exchange prayers, I got you. Oh, my wife and I also do childrens Sunday teaching at our church. Anyway, love the content! Keep it coming!

  4. I agree with an earlier suggestion to let Raider go ahead. The design of the plane helps to dissipate a heat signature much like the F-117 & B-2. It is likely it’ll get further flying solo or perhaps with 1 raptor escort. The rest of the squadron could fly 5-10 miles behind in a tactical formation to spread out the IR signature of the Raptors. You’d still be close enough to have intercept and Fox 3 options if spotted. Also the deconfliction of missile shots will work to your advantage. I wonder if a UAV would be beneficial flying a route next to the border after the package is 50 or so miles in. Something large enough to get the radar interest of the SU35 & Mig31 while the package proceeds in the midst of the distraction. Much lower cost to have a UAV get shot than one of the stealths, and no human collateral damage or pow.

  5. First computer :
Mine was a Commodore 64 in '82, BUT the first computer I worked on was a Tektronix 4051 smart terminal when I was in the D-size penplotter division…. btw, we once had to integrate our device into some DOD blackbox and they had a small group of sidearm-carrying, fatigues-wearing

Destroying the RCS …. pretty sure the missing canopy adds a few meters.
But leaving the radar hot is like turning on a spotlight in a cave full of Bioraptors, eh Riddick?
I can't suggest much for the canopy issue, but maybe someone can bungee Cap's Transmit-switch on his radar… so it will snap-to-off soon as he releases the toggle. We can do it in the cockpit dash definitions by changing it to being a momentary switch-type, right? Someone, do it behind his back… he wont notice, right?

  6. The old Jane's/EA USNF 97 Ukraine campaign was simpler as your mission starts and ends from a U.S. carrier battle group in the Black Sea. Maybe plan a mission coming in from the Baltic States or Poland. Too bad there is not a B-1B in the DCS world. Burn your way through at low level clocking near Mach 1.

  7. Amazing and beautiful rain, cloud, and sky effects at the beginning of the mission. Is anyone else a bit surprised that the USAF is still flying 60 year old KC-135 tanker aircraft out in the real world.

  8. I guess you could try this out again but have other more visible planes conduct missions to distract from your operation?
Also, Cap is an expert at docking. Who knew….

  9. no need to penetrate enemy airspace because stand off weapons reach 500 miles? you might want to check a map. it IS needed. 500miles is not enough to even reach the middle of china or russia.

  10. there's a reason why stealth bomber missions are never done with fighter escorts. defeats the purpose of stealth. even with the F-22. You can see that even in balkans war they were never escorted. they always go alone.
you should just send the B-21 alone. but then it wouldn't make a good video…
