Every container ship should have a special container on its deck. One that has a self contained a surplus US Navy CIWS from our mothball fleet. Since the CIWS only needs power to be functional as a defensive weapon, having it mounted in a container would be perfect to give every ship some significant defensive capability. the clip is meaningless. Israel is just further away from Yemen but the Saudis sit right next to Yemen waging war against Houthi rebels since 2015. they have sophisticated US weaponry themselves and tried to destroy everything valuable already. after all these years they had to admit some sort of defeat.
back in 2015, the rebels were a rag tag group but only got stronger during the war. all the air raids carried out by the Saudis couldn't bring about a tactical win, let alone a strategic victory. Israel will not fare any better. you cannot 'win' this kind of conflict no matter your superiority in weapons. the same as Israel cannot 'win' against the Palestinians no matter how often their forces flatten areas like the south of Lebanon, the Gaza strip or other parts around them.
