Here for Devin.
This was good, thanks! “It really comes down to, do you think it sounds good? That’s it.”
Having a SSL UC1 and UF8s myself, I know exactly what he's talking about. Also, it just makes mixing SO much more fun!
It's a nice style
using the spectrum analyzer for troubleshooting and subtractive EQ while having your ears to do the additive EQ is usually what i go for, but it's great to hear what the PROS like Devin has to say.
Great new style!
This style is def a vibe 🤙🏼 More of this for sure
When he is referring to Digital Cymbals does it just mean from a library like SSD or GGD? Or something else altogether?
👍👍👍👍
Devvvvvvyyyyyy
I did enjoy this style of presentation. Kudos man
Cool clip but please stop with the click bait. You could’ve given this a relevant title that was still interesting without having to resort to that bs.
“Devin Townsend shows off his insane new workflow”
“Stop mixing with your eyes with Devin Townsend”
Nothing about this was to do with tones or shaping them.
I like the new format. I would also like to learn more about that giant octopus.
About the format, the music on the background is very distracting
I've purposely disabled the analyzer on pro-Q 3 for this reason. It's distracting.
I really dig the format of this video, BTW.
Strapping young lads alien is a perfect example.
PLEASE CONTINUE THESE. Literally I wish everyone on URM taught like this.
Devin is the GOAT songwriter. That's what matters most
This song is so freaking hard to mix
More of this
Enjoyed this one. Took some key concepts for us to learn from. Thanks.
I thought this was an amazing way to show how somebody; a genius!; does what he does. Please continue and more with Devin, please!
Devin GOAT!
This was dope!
i mean if you want to sit around listening to movie score style stuff marketed in a diff way as something unique i mean yeah sure sure aha
yeah fuck the rules !! : )
At the end of the day, music is something you LISTEN to. Just saying.
John Scofield told me something once I'll never forget (true story) ; " Use your ears."
amazing stuff, his mixes are 'wow' even if you don't like his music.
Really good format! Thanks
This is the way.
excellent episode and this type of content is awesome. Not just how to do shit but why or why not. The insane beliefs were a cherry on top.
whats the name of the first song in the background??
I need to improve my Two Tone. My name is Tommy.
