How Drugs Propped Up Bashar al-Assad’s Luxurious Empire | Vantage with Palki Sharma

13 years of war have left Syria in ruins, but its former leader, Bashar al-Assad, lived a life of luxury. His palace in Damascus, filled with marble floors, crystal chandeliers, and priceless treasures, was a stark contrast to the suffering of ordinary Syrians. Assad fled to Moscow last week, leaving behind a collapsed economy and a trail of destruction. Meanwhile, rebels are dismantling the $10 billion Captagon drug empire run by his brother, Maher al-Assad. While the Assads live comfortably in exile, their legacy is one of opulence amidst tragedy. Palki Sharma tells you more.

  2. How poor Bangladesh was when being liberated. If it was not for India there will be chaos and complete breakdown in 1971,72 and maybe till '75. Even George Harrisson started "concert for banglabesh." But they happily and willfully forget😮

,,, it is good that Assad left Syria and give safety to his family.
,,, we will see if HTS-CIA can get back the Syria oil fields stolen by US-NATO.

  7. Why don't you show the before and after economy of Iraq during Saddam Hussein's capture? Has their lifestyle improved or has it gotten worse. What does the majority of Iraqi's has to say since his downfall and a million deaths later? Hypocrites!
