How does the Pack Dynamics Change when another Dog Joins the Pack | Moose the Boxer UPDATE

What is it really like when a new dog joins an already big pack of dogs? And cats. And kids. And a Dingo too.

Moose the almost two year old Boxer has joined our BIG family pack and we love him already. But it’s no surprise that there’s a little bit of work to do to help everyone get along.

Moose is already making friends, learning the rules and discovering the fun never ends on the farm.

But what do some of the other pack members think of our new family member?

We have a chat about what’s been happening since Moose arrived.

  3. This is such a wonderful video about the fun, new boy Moose at the farm. He is a great addition to the farm pack, and you can tell Luke is enjoying every moment with his very own β€œBandit”. The timbre of Luke’s voice is different and sounds to me so much like it did with playing with Bandit. Thank you for sharing this footage of Moose with his new family, even those darn cats! 🍷😘❀️🐾🐱😎

I know it took a lot of work to edit, but all your efforts resulted in a wonderful view into the new pack and family dynamic with that adorable Moosey Boy! So happy that he has joined your family and brought such joy! Thank you, as always, for all you do! You are dearly loved by so many!

  6. What I love about Moose is how he looks as if he's always been there. His eyes are so expressive!!
He appears to have immediately assimilated into his new living arrangements. That's why he reminds me of Bandit. Bandit always seemed like he reigned over everything at the Farm even though he didn't actually live there!

The first day of Moose's introduction, I could see very similar characteristics of Bandit. Memories of Bandit were flooding back. β™₯️
Thanks Sam for the update on Bandit. Sure miss him. πŸΎπŸ’—

  8. It's so lovely to see Moose playing with Maggie and the other dogs. He really does seem to be fitting into the pack very well. I want to comment on "Pack Mentality" in relation to chasing the cats. People don't realize that one family dog can be the sweetest creature around, but if he or she sees another dog chasing an animal, they will join right in. We once had a pack of dogs in our neighborhood that ran down and killed a deer. Were they pit bulls? Dobermans? No. One was a standard poodle, another was a collie, there was lab mix and they were all beloved family pets. It wasn't until they went home with blood on their faces and paws that the owners woke up and realized what had happened. A local farmer found the deer carcass on his land and warned the people in our town that dogs can be shot for running deer. We had a leash law, so they shouldn't have been loose, anyway. I learned my lesson when I heard that and kept a careful eye on my dogs.
