For me, even though I'm a hobbyist and build for myself, I know these tools will last for 15-20 years and perhaps even longer if it's taken care of. That's $35 a year for a $700 tool but you can also save 20-25% by buying off their reconditioned site as well.
Sadly, even Festool's quality has gone downhill, bit by bit, these past 5 years. Even if they weren't cheapened, they'd still be 25% overpriced.
They built their name, and now they're building their bank account. Better tools now exist, for less. Festools top tier name has faded… Sadly. 😥 😔 😟 🙁
