Craig help me to buy a car
Sell them to some unsuspecting sucker with bad credit at twice the price that's how we do it
It is funny because the whole time you was spraying I'm thinking wow he is about to have overspray all on that truck. I grew up watching my dad run a body shop. You were spot on about teaching how to paint though. An keeping the dust down. My dad had an exhaust system that would suck out the air on all four corners of the paint booth as well as spraying the floor
What was the cure to the leaking roof brake light or sunroof drains? My buddy had a 2017 Silverado & his leak was the antenna on top of the roof. Should have been a recall. His brother Silverado did the same thing.
so craig u need workers i can tell u were to go to the bad places in town talk to the kids on a dead end road theah them a skill to make money so some will leave i only what to help the lost kids that need hope to get a good lining on hope and someone cares about them
When you're painting, along with wetting the floor, tape up thin plastic across the ceiling and down the sides away from the car. I painted a Cobra kit car and thought about not putting plastic below the ceiling and a freaking caterpillar came down like a spider. You better believe I put up the plastic. It was cheap and when the paint dried, pulling down the plastic was easy and quick.
Tires
Future ref- you went through the trouble of painting it.. you got rusty AF stabilizer arm or shocks or something?? Literally 3 coats black no sanding even my eye draws right to it
Bank repo is worth the most if repo'ed from an unsuspecting owner.
Love your show very informational on what it takes to on one of these types of businesses.
I’m retired after 45 years in the new and used car business. My standard policy was never trade for or sell a Mercedes’ Jaguars or BMW. After watching dozens of YouTube videos from you guys , I now know how right I was. I enjoy watching your content.
Showing how the used car dealership should be done Craig. Trucks & SUVs are hot right now so that is good to focus on.
I feel like you could’ve gotten the markup back from bigger wheels and tires and going bigger flares than basically loosing the 700 you spent on factory flares and still having the scratches.
How unfortunate that all the legacy auto manufacturers have given up. 70, 80, 90k for a pickup truck is entirely untenable. I guess that Tesla really is the future.
Are you located in Derry New Hampshire on bypass 28
Question, I didn't see the costs of the window repairs, (windshield repair, power window repair, etc.) paint and body work, (parts and labor), costs to have tires mounted and balanced, assuming you source that out, just to name a few. There were several variables missing from the math at the end…
You missed a lot of expenses. One of the biggest things with independent business owners I see is overlooking this aspect of their business. No one wants to believe that they are making less than they actually do but, its discipline to have an accurate accounting of your business and necessary to make good business decisions. If you measure it, you can control it. Costs you missed: Paint Labor (per part), Paint Materials Expense, per Part, General/Specialized Labor (the businesses cost for your work – you need to estimate what it costs you to do general administration or specialized work), Depreciation for Company Assets (this is how you manage the costs of your tools, air compressor, wearables (grinder wheels, files, etc), General Expense (internet, electricity, wifi, etc), fixed costs like staff wages of you have full or part-time staff, marketing to keep the website up or expenses for ads plus a lot more I'm sure I didn't cover. All of this adds up. At the end of the day, you have to account for your labor (income) and your business's profit after taxes. Keep improving costs and expanding your revenues. You need to make more revenue than just from the sale of vehicles. You have to think about co-leasing the real estate, ad revnue on the website, selling leads, referral revenue, deals you can make with lenders, value-added fees for services, etc.
Profit zero as reported on your taxes 😂😂. FJB
HUMMER LOOKS RUSTY AF
Car rental places hate GMC's they say they're hard to get parts for don't know if it's true or not it's a Chevy LOL
I gave you a thumbs up until you said 13k
Lol ive heard of people taking out decade long loans. That is, in and of itself, self defeating. And these loan companies are letting them do it because they know a repossession is around the corner and or, they're going to make a huge profit from the interest rate. Absolutely insane. Stop living beyond your means people and only buy what you can afford. These new vehicles today come with a thousand different, "aesthetically pleasing" gadgets…that just means a thousand things that can and will break on you. Its getting crazy out there. When i heard people were taking 10 yr loans out my jaw dropped.
Yep … I've been buying Toyotas and Nissans since the 90's … I've never had problems with what was shown in the video.
Don't bother with inferior American crap people … as a Canadian I'd prefer to support North American industry but their poor QA drives me away (and my family and friends).
that chasis look rusty 🧐, or is the light?
Sorry about German , i really liked him
It would be good to know how much time you and your team put into it. Not sure labor was calculated in all of this. Great video though. Being so hands and having some of those mechanical and body skills certainly helps.
I had one of these. The rear break light leaks on everyone of these!
What auction you bought it from ?
