The Alicent shot at the end is very reminiscent of Kendall at the end of succession.
In the same way they both allowed metaphorical judgement in the form of water to take them- alicent in the lake and Kendall in the pool- they now have to accept their realities.

I'm not usual "one of those people" but they are completely bastardizing the story. I understand the book is basically a summarized historical account from differing POVs but still the story is NOT about Alicent and Rhaenyra, it's about House Targaryen's infighting and is about much more than these two women. While I love the way the actress' portrayals, the writers have basically veered off into fanfiction at this point. This story is way bigger than these two queens or any of the charat=cters for that matter. Daemon gets it, lol, he is just a part in the larger story. The story continues on past Rhaenyra and Aegon II and I was hoping this series would be like "The Crown" and keep going with new cast after the war, but they've messed too much up. The kids are too young unless the war is going to last for like 5 years and they're trying to hard to make the main players likable which won't work with the way they al kill each other and (not a spoiler but maybe sort of a spoiler) especially how Rhaenyra and Aegon II end up at the end.I thought we could do 3 season intervals where "The Crown" did 2 season intervals, but what do I know.
Also, Sharp Point is NOT ruled by House Massey! It is ruled by House Bar Emmon!! Show can't even get the facts rights. A quick google search will tell you this! Or ya know, read the books. Or play CK2/3 AGOT. Good grief.

I noticed the guy who tried to get daemon to turn on rhaenyra (can someone tell me his name?) isn’t happy when daemon rallies the troops. he doesn’t cheer with everyone else and he made a quit exit as daemon raised his sword. You see a quick glimpse of this at @20:45

No one wants to mention how towards the end of Daemons vision he sees Heleana talking to him- notice the next shot was Aemond talking to Heleana appearing the same as in Daemons vision.
I strongly believe becuase of her Dragon Sight/ dragon dreaming she was literally talking to Daemon through the vision.
Spoiler: did they just allow her to call out Daemons death in the God’s eye. Notice too he falls into water either symbolizing some other transformation (doubt it) or his literal death.
I know they change things, but I’m begging please don’t change his epic fight above the God’s eye

This is by far the worst season of g.o.t./h.o.t.d. Fans waited 2 years for 1 dragon fight and daemon's visions. Hbo shot themselves in the foot with only 8 episodes. This season really could've used those 2 episodes.
2 year wait for this season finale? I’d prefer the GoT series finale, expectations were high, execution was low. Could have used another episode, you want me to wait another year?
