We were told they will all go back after the war right, well the interesting thing is a Ukrainian refugee can put their name on the council housing list from the day they arrive in U.K. and they get the higher bands because of the war.
Now can you tell me if they are going back when the war ends why do they need a council house which is a permanent home which could go to a family that’s here permanently. They can also work and get benefits where as the refugees in the hotels get £1 a day.

This is Cannock in Staffordshire. One of my colleagues in Cannock was violently attacked whilst at work. Two coppers turned up 45 mins later. if they had been this quick they would have caught the guy in the act and stopped the most serious injuries. Also a few years ago my daughter got burgled over Christmas at uni, can you guess how many coppers turned up? That's right, none. given a crime number and told to claim on insurance. It sickens me.

I dont understand, (left UK a long time ago migrated to Australia) My understanding WAS that if you had a Valid Tourist Visa and you overstayed it, you would eventually be caught and then Deported back to your country . So, if you come in Illegally , you get put up in a Hotel most people could not afford , given Free everything and allowed to go wherever you want for years ? . No Wonder the word has gotten around ILLEGAL is the best way to go to another country .
