@37:05 It's not true that for the first time ever, a primarch died. The death of Ferrus Manus was not the first time a primarch died. There are those 2 legions whose primarchs were killed, the lost primarchs.

What I absolutely love about the Horus Heresy is how intriguing the whole event and its precursors are.
For example, The SM Legions and their respective Primarchs. Your "average" SM is pictured/believed to be this nigh-immortal, incorruptible, super human, genetically superior, cold, calculating, and noble demigods. Imagine a Primarch who is essentially a SM on steroids plus plus.
The duel between Ferrus and Fulgrim woke up some innate quirk within both loyalist & traitors alike – the fact that they are still essentially humans – who are prone to hubris, emotions, arrogance, and ultimately for Fulgrim, corruptible.
