  1. If Dave does replace/recast the late great Ray Stephenson, I hope they go with someone that none of us are really familiar with. It is really really tough to replace someone that made such an immediate impact with his character, in our fav franchise. I would kind of almost like a deep fake/cgi type thing with him because lets face it, Ray was absolutely perfect. He is my favorite villian-like character in Star Wars since Palps in the prequels.
Edit: I am not a big fan of AI, as AI can be used as a tool, I think it is a tool that could be used as an exception in this case. He does not need huge parts, and maybe his part in Ahsoka season 2 is different in that we dont get those great scenes of emotion with Ray/Baylon lost in thought starting off…..but more so just using his likeness to tell the story ahead but not draw out the character. Use him as limited as he was in Season 1 to finish the story. I just feel no actor will be able to follow what was created in season one….
This character absolutely deserves a Tale of the Jedi episode to help fill in some back story as well. 🙂

  2. Many thanks to Ken, Joseph and Jennifer! 🌟 Here's hoping Ken's injury heals quickly and fully. 🌿 Addressing the 'Baylan Skoll' character will be tricky, but I think the makers can do it. ෴ I also wanna mention how thrilled I was to see OBI-WAN KENOBI and ANDOR with numerous Emmy nominations last night. They were winners in my heart.

  3. As a Sabine/Ezra shipper since Rebels season 3, I just hope they can be physically together in either galaxy, romantically or not. I like the idea of Ezra choosing to go back to the new galaxy either to “rescue” them or if they are stuck there out of just wanting to be with them. But it doesn’t seem likely as most of the conflict will presumably take place in the main galaxy for the movie.

  4. I hope it isn't bad, because the first season sure was. The first season was just nostalgia disguising the fact that the show had no substance. The whole story is bland and pointless. We already know what happens…. nothing. The sequels ruined any chance of the post Return Of The Jedi years being interesting or mattering in the least.

It would also be great if Rosario Dawson could 1. Learn to fight, she looks so awkward in every action scene, especially in duels. 2. Stop trying to be some mix of Obi wan/Qui-Gon/Yoda because it doesn't work. She was by far the worst part of that show.

Stop using characters from the EU. They ruined Thrawn already, that's enough.

Disney needs to either just start over and say that the sequels are no longer cannon (which they won't ever do), or set new stories far into the future (or past) so we're far removed from the Rey/Kylo/Finn nightmare. If it was the past it would have to be farther back than the snooze fest that is The High Republic. If they wanted the biggest win ever they would just adapt KOTOR for a past story or Legacy (that would be tricky though) for a future story.

Star Wars has been such a dumpster inferno since 2015 (Andor being the exception).

  5. I have also viewed Ashoka as the Mother of Mortis. I also think Ezra and Sabine could be the Brother and Sister of Mortis. Instead of one representing light, and the other dark, the both could represent balance. They both have delt with light and dark in their lives. Ashoka, as the mother, could guide them. Instead of trying to control them like the father did during the clone wars.

  6. Please don't make Sabine and Shin a couple. Those two have less in common than you claim. They hate each other and those two getting together is just not an interesting, let alone compelling narrative.

  7. Shipping Sabie and Shin is like the dumbest thing any fan could suggest. The two are just not compatabile and it's not very interesting dynmanic when put into practice. Why you guys are in support of this is nuts.

  8. Jen, I feel seen! My kids often wind up in my video meetings. You handled it with grace and we all benefited from your insights on this episode so I’m glad you hung in there. Great Star Wars conversation as always from all 3 of you!

  9. I was randomly watching Creed last night and saw Graham McTavish in a small role… immediately Baylan Skoll came to mind. I think it could really work!

So excited for a second season and I will keep that fire burning with ease. We waited so long to rescue Ezra, this will be like nothing!

  10. I listened to the podcast version to and from work one day, but had to come for the visuals of the chaos known as "children at home with Mom". Well played and handled Jen! The true hero of the episode.
