β€œCrimea is under threat, Putin himself is in big trouble politically, as well as the Russians being in trouble militarily”

Russia’s failures to target Ukraine on the ground and in the air has halted Putin’s offensive capability, Prof. Michael Clarke tells #timesradio , and suggests a way NATO could end the war that could β€˜change the architecture of security in Europe fundamentally’

  2. I think Ukraine should take back all of Kherson and zaporitza. Concede Luhansk, Donetsk, crimea to Russia. In return Ukraine joins EU and NATO outright and completely cut off Russian influence so there will never be another invasion. I think this is the best option for peace on both sides so bloodshed can end.

  3. 54 : 1 fav – UKR to win !
Putrid will soon be unable to recruit anymore "Z"ombie Cannon Fodder.
The Russian public know the score – 200,000 dead, and very few Muscovites in that tally. Ethnic cleansing within his own country and stealing Ukrainian children to repopulate. A purely evil madman at work !

  4. Very interesting content indeed!
About NATO admittance: The reason that rule of not allowing it while a country is engaged in a war is to prevent the 'automatic situation' that would instantaneously put NATO at war. It just can't happen!
Slava Ukraine! πŸ’™πŸ’› Glory to the heroesπŸŽ–

  5. This was a fascinating, informative video for all but one minute at the beginning. Why, oh why, does Times Radio insist on baiting us in with a one-minute snip which will be repeated later in the video? We are going to watch all of it, we know it will be interesting. You are beginning to turn some of us off. Why do this?

  6. If Russia stays in crimea it would be able to threaten the ukranian ports at will and force them to give concessions to Russia just to get their grain out. If they are not getting back the crimea they should destroy the bridge and the naval bases so they can't be used ever again

  8. What an odd question posed by the interviewer at 1:15… πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ How long will they wait?!? Dearie, it’s really not all that complicated. They’ll β€œwait” until someone supplies them. It’s really that simple…

  9. Wow, Prof. Clark just said he wants NATO to go to war with Russia, what I understand from this suggestion is that he is saying that Ukraine cannot win this war without NATO's full involvement. Such an escalation will potentially bring the UK into a direct conflict with a nuclear power. How on earth did we get to this point?

  10. Why are the Ukrainians trying to retake land that isnt theres? The people in the Donbas dont want to be in Ukraine since the terrorist attacks theyve been carrying out since 2014

  11. He forgot about phase 1.5 – the russian army had to enter additionally a battle against NATO members. And for every person on this planet who uses more than 2 % of its brain – this is a significant change of the whole military conflict.

  12. Stephen Kotkin has proposed that we should use the Chinese to broker a deal and sign it in Beijing as only they can 'deliver' Russia. He also asks whether Ukraine really should incorporate Crimea with a largely Russian population into its territory or whether this is just a potential terrorist nightmare and causus belli for future Russian interference. A special status for Crimea and its demilitarisation in exchange for a supply of water from the Dnipro river to restart its agriculture seems at least the basis for a discussion.

Professor Kotkin stresses that winning the war is only a first step one must then win the peace. A democratic Ukraine in (or as near as makes no difference) both NATO and the EU looks like a victorious peace to this observer. Selling it to the Ukrainian people will not be easy.

  13. It is worrying that so many commentators are repeatedly saying UYkraine has to demonstrate to the West that it can succeed in its campaigns. The idea we would stop supporting Ukraine and leave them to the predation of Russia is unthinkable.

  14. I sad in public on the 24.2.22 that Nato should acept Ukraine as a member and put Nato boots on Ukraine ground in order to prevent genoside and Russian terror. Nobody wanted to listen to me. We all saw what happend and no boots where put into saving the inocent life. Nato will never go in as long as Stoltenberg (former KGB-agent with the code name Steklov) is sitting in he's position.

  15. Oh look the Ukrainian aka nato Propagandist who does he think he's kidding lol. If you believe this guy I've got a bridge to sell you. How big do people think the Ukrainian Army is? They must of lost over 300,000 soldiers & still do not want peace. Whoever wants this war to carry on to the last Ukrainian have lost there minds. Ukraine doesn't care about the Donbas anyway, it's the Corrupt US Government pushing this train off the tracks & people still think Ukraine has a chance & it doesn't.

  17. Ukraine should have never lost Crimea in the first place! Having Russia go back on it's word by attacking Ukraine clear shows that ANY & ALL agreements with Russia mean zero.
The Allies need to whatever it takes to change the landscape of Russia without allowing China to invade the far western part of the country.
It's time to De-FANG the bear!

  18. The Russian troll brigades I notice have been more active this past day or two. Wonder why? After the most pathetic Victory Day parade in decades they went all quiet. oh maybe it was the Kremlin telling them a Patriot system was 'destroyed'? LOL . But good to keep believeing in your Csar. He has lead this conflict well. He pulled off some amazing feints by attacking Kyiv, Kharkiv and Kherson earlier in the war…then after losing only a 'few' troops pulled his forces back just in time. He is a master strategist that Putin. Takes care of his people. OK….yes this is all sarcastic as Russians have trouble with this and irony at times. 😁

  19. Today 44 four star US generals and admirals on active duty commanding 1.1 million US soldiers, sailors, airman and marines.

In 1943-44 US total 12.2 million serviceman where commanded by 7 four stars.

One four star commanded over a million man to today's 44 doing same job.

Talking about today's bureaucratic US military machine. Anyone with minimum understanding in business aspect of it can see massive overhead cost and inability to develop cutting edge military hardware like hypersonic weapons.

Because of this dead wood US cannot win anything anywhere.

Is it different in any other US gov department?

  20. Every single military system west supplied Ukraine with failed. None achieved objectives. Russia successfully tested their hypersonic missiles including loitering munitions. US general Milley on the way out may bring some changes. Russian oil exports surpassed 2021 levels. US Patriot air defence system capabilities: max attack ceiling 20Km, minimum low target scan visibility 50 meters. Anything flying bellow 50 meters remains invisible to Patriot. Maximum target speed cannot exceed 1600km /hour. Missile launch angle is max 38 degrees one direction only , not 360 dgrees. Russian bomber aircraft can be detected at the range of 180Km, fighter aircraft 130km, Caliber cruise missile max 100km. Hypersonic balistic Russian Eskander (max range 500Km) missile attacks target from 50km high. Kinzal hypersonic missile (max range over 2000km) is known to glide 50-80km high. Conclusion: US patriot air defence system cannot intercept Russian Iskander or Kinzal hypersonic missiles. On May 15 Kiev based US Patriot system was fooled by false targets approaching from the north. American crew panicked and fired full missile arsenal of 32 missiles. Once Patriot radar and all launcher positions where identified Russian MIG31 pilot fired Kinzal missile. NASAMS protecting Patriot did not help.
