Former Congress president Sonia Gandhi wrote a letter to the voters of Rae Bareli. The former Congress president has been representing Ral Bareli in Lok Sabha since 2004. Sonia Gandhi said she will not be contesting Lok Sabha elections 2024 in the wake of her old age and medical condition. “Will not contest Lok Sabha elections keeping in view my health, age. I know you will stand by me and my family in future just as in the past,” Sonia stated in the letter. Sonia Gandhi filed her nomination for the Rajya Sabha polls from Rajasthan on February 14.
