I think the surprise of the chorus is a real strength. I find it really pleasing that it drops back to a more spare sound that lets the girls just settle into pure SWAGGER.

I feel like the ones producing BlackPink's songs aren't maximizing or utilizing the girls' talents enough. Same for the choreography. It's good– but with the caliber these girls have– its not being showcased enough. It's sad, BP has so much to offer but are lowkey limited by their own company.

These girls have the potential to conquer the world with their music. They have everything, popularity, visuals, talent…. but each time I listen to their releases I am disappointed. Why can't they just give them a normal song? Please, those ratatas , du dus, bom boms just ruin their songs. I also don't like those many switches of beats. They are only 4 members, they can easily deliver a consistent song. Overall, their songs have catchy melodies and parts but if you listen to the song as a whole, you end up with mixed feelings.
These girls are talented, give them what they deserve.

I did a small analysis and on that part (pre-chorus) the harmony is on E Phrygian Dominant, the fifth mode of A Minor Harmonic, while the melody sings an F#, the F# is not part of the sclae, because the scale uses a natural F, therefore it sounds kinda dissonant
