Thieves had an insider connection with a postal worker and got a copy of the master key. They have been stealing mail in the Jersey Village area for at least a year now. I had some Holy cards in Latin stolen; I am sure they didn't use those. Post office doesn't care AT ALL. Don't even try dealing with people at the post office, either. Rude.
At some point in time the system will have to be changed, maybe internal door drop boxes at each house or you pick up all your mail at a local post office box. People can not continue to have mail stolen.
They should have fake mail with a GPS and thats how they should do it. And track the mail easily. Its cheaper to buy an air pod tracker than have a full time police officer waiting to pop someone.
Allz I’m sayin is Houston was more quiet after the Housing crash. Right after no, my parent’s home got broken into twice and Ring cameras weren’t around and the only thing you could try were those good for nothin ADT services. 2012ish to around 2017 pre Harvey and the ERCOT freezing thing were not great years either. I don’t recall these mail thefts or as many shootings being bad all over the city. Certain areas have always been rougher, but these neighborhoods used to be more quiet.

The worse part is the time it takes for the post office to fix the mailboxes. Months and months.
hire someone to stand at each box 24/7
But what color were the blakies?

Usual suspects
If you’re a Republican what you expect. Y’all cut their budget. Duh.
Send yourself something with a hidden GPS tracker. Call cops when it gets stolen
Still investigating!? I think you could clearly see license plates on all those screen shots. Houston is trash now. Time to move.
Electronic locks i cant see a way past that one(flipper zero)
HOA is responsible. I dont care what anyone says. If its a community run by the HOA. the HOA should respond to this.

Time to get creative and stop them
There are many solutions for this problem!
People used to fear the federal offense involved with mail theft; what has changed‽
Abbott is wasting all of the taxpayers money on bus rides, meanwhile crime is out of control everywhere in Texas. Texas is just plain lawless.
We have a PO Box and use the home address for junk mail mostly.
Time for the mail persons to delivery door to door and bypass the cluster mailboxes.
They faster than USPS fo sure. 😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂
Blacks or Hispanics for sure sad😢😢
Those damn Blacksicans again
No lock in existence will stop a thief who is determined enough.
Forget about trying to get help from usps! They’ve left the building 😢
Iggas attacking nice neighborhoods 😢
Houston is a sh!t whole!

They can Do controlled deliveries of fake mail. Cops wait and catch them.
