Howdy! Welcome to the comment section lol… these did not last long at all! Best eaten within 24 hours ideally though, so eat them all or do the right thing and share away! Oooooooo
Yes to outdoor cooking, that would be awesome 😊
Yesss! I would love some outside cooking!
Thank you Barry😀 I am soooo much going to try this. Best regards to you and your family. Watching from Canada
New camera? The filming feels and looks different.
Corn oil makes beautiful doughnuts 😍
I really don't like Krispy Kreme donuts. Every single one that I've had was dry reguardless of whether or not I got it at the store or at tesco.
Definitely gonna try this, you should experiment with different flour ratios. KKreme donuts are ridiculously soft, maybe even too soft although that doesn't stop me from scranning the whole box mind you 🤣
Barry!
Cake flour isn't just milled finer 🙂 It has less protein in the flour. Less protein means less gluten, which means it won't get too much structure which in turn can make the dough tougher.
Please try it in an air fryer
Outdoor cooking on the beach is a great idea.
It's best practice not to close the lid of your fryer, as to let the stream release properly. I know you're not a fan of hot oil, but it's perfectly safe to leave the lid open.
I would recommend to dip the doughnut in the glaze rather than dripping the glaze on the doughnuts – less mess 😉
Hoowdy thanks forthis great Job Video. I love it and will make it too as you
Anyone else find Krispy Kreme overrated? They taste ok, but "ok" isn't enough for the price they charge! I wonder if it's just the UK ones that are underwhelming. I saw a box of 6 mini plain KK doughnuts in Sainsbury's for over 7 quid!
Gregg's has a much better price/quality ratio, for me at least. Try making a Gregg's fudge doughnut (think they're called "caramel custard" now) or yum-yum, if you haven't already.
Growing up my mom would make homemade donuts using canned biscuit dough and then make the glaze to drizzle on top.
Yes do more doughnuts plzzzz
Sour Cream Glazed video next please!!! They're a cake donut, but you know, you could do a short series on donuts, maybe donuts from around the world, and maybe your spin on them. I'd love to watch a series on that
You forget, we don't normaly have dried egg white
Did you really use a plastic spatula in the oil?
outside cooking ideas would be fantastic Barry! I love your videos xx
Some outdoor cooking videos would be great Barry 😊
Please can you do some Gluten Free recipes? 😊
Good video as usual 🙂. The only part I have a question about is the glaze. Why didn't you dunk the cooked donuts into the glaze instead of the drizzle? Most bakeries dunk the handmade ones. The automated bakeries will have a machine that drenches the glaze in the line.
A) I couldn’t quite hear what the other clone you wanted to do was, but I say do it. Maybe it’ll inspire someone to make something they can’t get near them.
2. I’d love to see you do some outdoor cooking when the weather is nice. Maybe even smoking some meats. You don’t even have to use a purpose built smoker. Alton Brown has done it using a cardboard box, electric hot plate & a metal cake pan.
And finally, D) give the fam my love, and Boston some pets for me please. ^_^
I've never had a jaffa cake so being able to make a donut one approved by you would be awesome
I'd love to see a video about what you actually cook each night. Maybe a week of dinners/meals in your home
I think cooking outside is a good idea
Would love to see you make a wagon wheel 😊
I’d love to see you cook outdoors! Also some filled donuts too!
In Canada we have Krispy Cremes too, these look amazing, but another favorite donut we usual get is called a "Boston Creme" pretty much a custard filled donut dipped in chocolate (fondant) but probably even better with real melted chocolate 😋😘
I really enjoy these donuts, they are just light as a feather, delicious. Thank goodness the shop is a few miles away from me or I would be in BIG TROUBLE.
That “oh look we made a fried egg” made me smile

Outside / Food Tour videos could be a great idea …
