Before s4 it was questionable whether homelander actually loved ryan and had some resemblance of a soul. He did fatherly things when he was around him. But s4 we can clearly see. There is nobody he loves more than himself.

I don't know how we agreed to a ridiculous format of 8 episodes every 2 years no one bats an eyelash. In the past, shows used have 20 episodes every year using less resources to produce their shows.
